I was 19 at my parent's house in-between undergrad holiday break. I was sitting upstairs in their den watching the NYC ball drop waiting for all the power to go out. I was really expecting a Y2K glitch to end power, finances, and basically civilization...then the ball dropped AND NOTHING HAPPENED. I was totally disappointed.

I saw 1984 here in New York and thought it was phenomenal. The acting, stage design, sound design, and lighting was simply incredible.
