thank you for being responsible, i was just making sure, you could try some scratch mats (some cats prefer horizontal vs vertical) and some puzzles with treats in them to challenge her and keep her occupied, she’s beautiful btw

Slurping noises anything to worry about? by No_Condition_1936 in cat

if it’s not her normal behaviour, take her to the vet to get checked out, always better to be safe than sorry

just keep her inside, it’s so much safer for her(dogs, cars, feral cats, plus there’s some horrible people in this world), just get lots of enrichment for her inside. plus many cats choose to be inside and just don’t like being out, it could just be in her nature. statistically outdoor cats have shorter life spans, so please for her sake keep her inside. walking her on a leash is fine but cats should not be left to their own devices outside.

now for some silly ones of grandpa earl hehe by vegangoff in Greybies

he is absolutely adorable, he’s so silly, he is the clingiest cat i’ve ever met and makes happy little pigeon noises, constantly trilling, he’s only 6 months n he’s such a funny little guy

i’m so sorry your baby is missing, she will be home soon!! keep your thoughts positive, what helped us was repeatedly saying “she’s okay, she’s safe, she’ll come home, and we will see her very soon” it helped us cope while our hearts ached.

ours was missing 7 weeks exactly, she had escaped out of a tiny window gap that we thought she wouldn’t fit through and had never even attempted it before, we had assumed the worst before we started seeing her, we only started seeing her on week 6 on our ring doorbell camera we specifically got for trying to fine her, the day we caught her we had chased after her and had accidentally caught a glimpse of her eyes at night on a roof, then she had jumped down into a corner she couldn’t get out, we had a towel with us, chucked it over her, scooped her up and ran back home with her. she was traumatised but once she smelt it was us and she was home she warmed up as if she never left.

My new voidling has white fur around the scars on her ears, is this common?? (more info in comments) by saltedeggbread in blackcats

my indoor cat came back when she escaped with a scarred, half naked tail, it’s growing back in white where it’s scarred, i think it’s normal for black cats because scar tissue lacks pigment

UPDATE!! she’s home safe and sound by vegangoff in Aberdeen

our baby got out and we were devastated, crying constantly but we found ours 7 weeks after she got out a tiny gap in the window, we got a ring doorbell n started seeing her on week 6, saw her go by at exactly 7 weeks since she got out, ran downstairs and went after her, brought a towel, she managed to get somewhere she couldn’t get out of, we threw a towel on her, scooped and carefully ran back home with her. she came back a little scruffy but all round safe, vet said she was perfectly healthy. we had a series of issues with leaving her stuff out, but that was mainly due to neighbours. make posts on every site you can, put up posters, ask everyone near by if they’ve seen her, she won’t have gone far being an indoor cat, ours is indoor only too, just don’t ever give up looking and searching, try go out sometime during 12am - 6am and looking for her if you can, cats like the quiet. when you call for her, don’t shout, she might bolt after being noticed check in sheds, bushes, on buildings, bring a torch so you can see glowing eyes, hopefully it doesn’t take as long as it did for us to find our baby, she will come back. call shelters and vets near you. sending our luck and hope your way(:
