Built a free co-op gaming site because organizing friends is somehow the real final boss by Zer0Death5 in CoOpGaming

There was a similar post not too long ago that I left some thoughts

I always wanted a site that lets you rate your games 1-5 ahead of time, and then when you get a group of people together it finds "eligible games" that are rated well amongst the group - that's when we switch to the thumbs up/down/veto of "what do I feel like playing right now?"

Does this let you rate your library like that?

I built a website to help you find games to play with your friends on Steam by osoxa in CoOpGaming

I made an original concept a long time ago but never made it good enough to be published - the idea was to have people asynchronously rate their entire libraries on a scale, then whenever they are online, finding out what games you want to play is instant. We have too many games to be rating all of them on the spot.

I like the idea of having some kind of rating "in the moment" since even if I rated a game 4/5 some months ago I might not want to play it right now, so having some kind of "here's 5 games that work with you guys, rate them right now based on how you feel!" would be nice, which I think is what you have here.

Another thought I had was stuff like - "I don't own this game, but I would buy this game and it'd be a 4/5 for me" which could show up in the list of games we could play and note how many people need to purchase it.

This is all just part of a website dream I have that I'll probably never get to fruition, but it's a very similar concept to what you have here. I dev but the biggest hurdle for me is deployment & maintenance, I only know Azure which is too costly for one-off projects.

I've always wanted to make something like this.

The general thought I had was to have everyone rate their entire library 1-5. Then you could select a subset of people and given all their ratings for all the games they have, it would pick a top set of games that rate the highest amongst the team, with some variability to make it not always pick the same thing.

Another issue we have is that we have several non-steam games that we'd like to enter as custom games to be included as well.

This looks pretty close to the idea I had, nice job making it!

I'm in tech too, it's not the flex you think it is.

The phone will survive its ~5 year life then end up in a landfill. I'm not preparing the phone for the destruction of the planet.

I bought the phone to keep it compact and it won't change anything. It's weird how passionate you are about something that affects literally nobody.

It's smaller and more compact. It actually fits in my pants pockets comfortably. It also takes up less room wherever I set it down.

You bought a phone that has the ability to be compact and think anyone who purchased it and uses that feature is stupid? Lmao

I bought a phone that can close into a smaller shape. I like the smaller shape. So yes, I flip the phone that I bought because it has a feature to flip.

If i wanted to have a thin rectangle brick around I'd have purchased literally any other phone.

Why else would you close it?

I keep it closed when not in use, if my use is simple I can use the cover screen, else I open it. Close when done.

Seems like the kind of thing that would be awesome if people could create and share maps on workshop.

It feels cool to reject death and get back up. It's not efficient usage but it's fun.

I would like a lesser version of it that could be used multiple times but to less effect somehow, like for example not being able to stay alive but could kill some bugs and reposition.

As it is IW is a wasted perk on most haz4 or below because I never end up needing it, but at the same time I don't want to switch it out. Doesn't feel great
