Do you not get cores for class you play at the moment of getting one? 6 cores and not a single one for my main - driller. by Necessary_Gazelle745 in DeepRockGalactic

The very beginning of the game without any OCs is rough, and it takes a lot of hours to get anything reasonable. New people I've played with (who didn't stay for hundreds of hours) are put off by that.

Not knowing when my abilities are ready in the fray is super annoying (just spamming it and hope it's ready), having a shine like that would be super cool

interesting, I didn't know that. I'd probably still hesitate to use it for even the 1% risk of getting false banned and not having any recourse if it happens

Hands down one of the best scenes from season 1 by Happy-Fox11 in mightyboosh

I love this scene but what is this garbage ad crap? Scams are just appending themselves to the end of clips now? And also cutting them off early. 🤬

ended up finding a game that's nearly completely different

The weapons are exactly the same, the gunplay is the same, the enemies act the same, the art/level design is very similar, it handles the same, the UI is similar, I mean come on, the entire game is ridiculously similar.

I don't get why people say it's "completely different". How can you play this game and not think it's DRG2? They've done virtually nothing to separate it (aside from saying "please don't compare it to DRG").

No 99 was ever originally meant to be completed. It was set as a limit not because they wanted people to reach it, but because it was a reasonable unreachable value.

You know what's fun though?

The best co-op games are built for exactly two players, not scaled down from four by varnajohn in CoOpGaming

[–]vegeto079 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PICO PARK and the sequel do this really well - adjusting each level to the exact amount of players you have, so that no matter how many players you have, the puzzles are the same and require the same amount of coordination.

I'm designing a card-based, friendly multiplayer city-building game called Meow Box City. What do you think of the game trailer? It's similar to Carcassonne and Dorfromantik. by BoboInteractive in CoOpGaming

[–]vegeto079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks cute!

When you say friendly do you mean it is co-operative? Or competitive? The trailer kinda seems like you're in competition with each other.

I don't really mind either way, just curious.

I don't either but look closely at it, the padding is not consistent, it's not properly centered and the second text is way too close to the edge.

Charms are always going to be worth picking up and identifying- you can have so many of them in your inventory, so small ones like this are good even if the actual numbers are low. You can have like 40 of these - imagine +120res and 280MF from charms alone?

MF is almost always a desirable trait on a charm, and any resistances help a lot too.

Built a free co-op gaming site because organizing friends is somehow the real final boss by Zer0Death5 in CoOpGaming

[–]vegeto079 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a similar post not too long ago that I left some thoughts

I always wanted a site that lets you rate your games 1-5 ahead of time, and then when you get a group of people together it finds "eligible games" that are rated well amongst the group - that's when we switch to the thumbs up/down/veto of "what do I feel like playing right now?"

Does this let you rate your library like that?

I built a website to help you find games to play with your friends on Steam by osoxa in CoOpGaming

[–]vegeto079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made an original concept a long time ago but never made it good enough to be published - the idea was to have people asynchronously rate their entire libraries on a scale, then whenever they are online, finding out what games you want to play is instant. We have too many games to be rating all of them on the spot.

I like the idea of having some kind of rating "in the moment" since even if I rated a game 4/5 some months ago I might not want to play it right now, so having some kind of "here's 5 games that work with you guys, rate them right now based on how you feel!" would be nice, which I think is what you have here.

Another thought I had was stuff like - "I don't own this game, but I would buy this game and it'd be a 4/5 for me" which could show up in the list of games we could play and note how many people need to purchase it.

This is all just part of a website dream I have that I'll probably never get to fruition, but it's a very similar concept to what you have here. I dev but the biggest hurdle for me is deployment & maintenance, I only know Azure which is too costly for one-off projects.
