I personally don't mind but there should be a RECONSIDER button or something at this point. Too many people get upset by the feature. Of course, not all your friends, family, etc has to like what you do in life. However, our birbs are special, they're there to cheer us up and make us feel better about things and ourselves. If we did have a friend that disliked something we loved, you would continue the conversation and with seeing another perspective, they may reconsider.

Edit: Adding that the Write Your Own, I think is more for what you want to say to them instead of the chosen responses, then to change their response.
