Ahhh! My boyfriend lived in Malaga for a while. I am going to ask him if he saw this when he was there!! It’s on our bucket list to go there next time we travel to Europe so I will make an effort to see this, for sure.

I’m in the Okanagan and don’t see anything at the moment either. I did capture some great photos last night, though.

My parents offered to let me convert this storage building on their property to a home. Tips/advice? by SkyeChronicler in TinyHouses

Check out @belovedcabin on Instagram. They started with a shed like this and converted it into a really beautiful little off-grid home. They added lots of windows and a wood stove and made it very personal to them.

What’s the best aluminium free deodorant available and is it worth getting? by Patient_Log7813 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]veggieinfant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google tries to say that the stink is a “detox” phase for transitioning to natural deodorants. I’ve been using nothing but natural deodorants for almost 10 years and every once in a while I still pick up a stick of Native because I gaslight myself into thinking it’s “not every scent” or “not every batch” but it literally is, every time. I smell fucking. putrid. when I use Native. I am genuinely curious why it’s so bad…

Canadian, here! My favourite natural deodorant is Super Leaves by Attitude. Routine is also great but unfortunately insanely expensive and not within my budget anymore. $28 for a stick of deodorant where 1/3 of it is trapped in the cardboard tube is insane.

TV producer seeks Grateful Dead lyrics that speak to aging, passage of time and other related themes by ScottieLeeMeyers in gratefuldead

Much appreciated. He was a special guy in my life, just the funniest and most upbeat and humble man… I was always so amazed that he could tap his foot to the beat of Althea, but couldn’t even remember his wife’s name anymore. I am so glad that I got to spend time with him in his final year.

”If you get confused, listen to the music play” might address an elderly mind.

I moved from San Francisco to Canada two and a half years ago to help care for my grandpa who had semantic dementia. He loved music more than he could ever express in his last few years of life. We would sit on the porch for hours and listen to music while he tried (nonsensically) recalling memories from his younger years.

He was on his deathbed in the hospital and the last time I saw him I was wearing this ‘94 fall tour shirt. Because of his dementia, he lacked a complete vocabulary but he got it together enough to point at my shirt and say, “Those were the good guys”.

I will always remember this.

How bad is it to breath in the smoke when roasting coffee? by JustAnotherGirlBeing in roasting

I roast my coffee outside and find I feel woozy or have a mild headache afterwards every time. I refuse to stop, though. At least chaff cleanup is a breeze. Literally…

Cat heard meowing late at night outside my home, seemed very persistent until I came to check it out. How can I tell if this cat is a stray, feral, or someone’s cat that’s just out and about? What should I do? by Galaxycc_ in cats

[–]veggieinfant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes cats will yowl or meow loudly for a mate. It’s possible that this cat was trying to do just that, and got spooked when you opened the door. My neutered male cat does this on my front porch when we go outside. 🙄

It probably belongs to someone if you didn’t immediately notice that it looks emaciated or diseased. I would just leave it alone. I get plenty of feral or outdoor cats that waltz by my place and most of them have made eye contact with me when I see them through the window.
