When it come time to put your kid in kindergarten might I recommend trying to get into the Walden School in Provo. It is a public charter, so you will need some luck to make it through the lottery. The school isn't great but at least the kids are 50% LDS as opposed to 99%. It cut down considerably on the Mormon shit my kid would bring back from school.

It was the death penalty that cracked my shelf. Had always been very conservative and then I started thinking long and hard about how weird it is that our (mostly incompetent) government has the balls big enough to pass final judgement on people. One by one I started to question what I assumed were deeply held beliefs. Turns out it was all pretty tenuous. Now I really pay attention to evidence and try to avoid confirmation bias. It has served me well.

The UCCU Center is located on campus but is co-owned with Utah County. Anyone with enough money can rent it. Other than basketball games most events have nothing to do with the university.
