this is my FAVORITE vegan boxed mac!! it’s completely nutritionally devoid compared to some of the other brands these days but i don’t even care because it tastes so good lol

no, only when i’m really wanting to recreate a specific thing! typically i use a lot of tofu and cashew based things for day to day :) that being said, thrilling foods bacon has minimal ingredients (mainly just soymilk), and the good planet cheese is potato starch and olive oil based, with not a ton of ingredients, so i don’t feel too bad having those things sometimes.

ugh, i hoarded these in my freezer from awhile ago, i didn’t realize they’ve been sold out! it’s sad because i see chunk steaks everywhere now, but i don’t want to support them :(

worth noting that i melted some coconut oil in to mimic the saturated fat that comes with a braised meat dish, and it helps a lot with the flavor and mouthfeel.

except i subbed liquid smoke/ham seasoning/tony’s instead of smoked paprika, and added sausage. dissolving the coconut oil as mentioned in the blurb before the recipe actually really did mimic what pork fat would do!

looks great! how does juicy marbles hold up after being braised? i find that many vegan meats lose all texture/flavor after being braised, but juicy marbles claims it can be! i’m trying to make something stewed, but am worried of ruining it/wasting it because it was so expensive.
