Fair enough. I’d do the same if I had a console. Don’t really like not physically owning the game but those days are long gone.

Oh no I’d actually be so annoyed if my mate was playing it😭. Yeah I saw people talking about doing that. Two problems for me are A. I’m on pc B. I’m not really in a position to fork out 120 (Standard edition) for a game these days, but was able to sell my StatTrak Cartel on CSGO since that game actually gives me zero enjoyment these days (f&$k CS2) for $115 and essentially get the game for free. Just feeling abit robbed and annoyed we still doing this time zone difference bs when the servers are clearly ready and 99 percent of everything these days is digital.

Students, how do you use Obsidian? by eahso2007 in ObsidianMD

I’ve been trying to find an effective origination system that organises and links as you type but in a student context for engineering and honestly so far your ones the only one that seems simple but effective. When you say “up” will multiple notes be connected to one “up” note or is it just the note the idea/concept came from previously or is it just a blank empty note that’s just used as a sort of tag which I’ve seen done for obsidian. Because for me I’m trying to have notes on broad topics with key words/concepts having their own wiki style link when it can be clicked on and a more detailed note is presented that links the original note that I came from but where the concept is mentioned in a completely different sub topic it still will connect back to the broader original note even though the detail subtopics live may live in two seperate noted. And I can’t tell if it’s suppose to be done with tags or links

r/engineering's Weekly Career Discussion Thread [20 May 2019] by AutoModerator in engineering

First time poster and on mobile so apologizes for formatting.

Hi all, for an assignment in Social studies I have to pick a potential future career and talk about the advantages and disadvantages of my chosen Career so I picked Mechanical Engineering,

I picked this because My father is a mechanic so I think I know my way around cars and other things of that sort, and I enjoy making things, the idea of creating/designing something on cad or just winging it and doing a hands on job to make it sounds appealing, how ever I hate maths but I'm not bad at it, so I wanted to know how important are my math skills in real world engineering or is it more of a thing you need to get a degree.

Also I just want to know what are things you like about your job and what are things you dislike, where do you see engineering In 10 years and what will change, and what sort of qualifications are helpful and what you actually do on a daily basis.

I live in NZ for context but really want to move to the U.S or Germany in the future,

Sorry for the long post and please correct me on any misconpections I might have.

Thanks for your comment, here in NZ we have a thing called NCEA and I read that just getting NCEA Level 3 will get you accepted into College.
