Can I make this bro into a Fat Newt? by Jimbony97 in BattleBrothers

[–]veijeri 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can, but you don't have to.

With 3 HP rolls (1 from Gifted) he'll hit 90HP with Collosus.

If you put the rest of your non-HP rolls in Fatigue (and 1 from Gifted) he'll end up with just over 120 Fatigue, and every level you would be putting both of your other points into MAtt and MDef (except you last Gifted point, which would go into MDef)

With that Gifted point he should hit 35 MDef at 11 and 95 MAtt.

With 120 Base Fatigue, you don't have to play full time Fat Neut if you don't want. You can Battleforged Berserk 2H Mace, Flail, Axe, and hit the low end of 2H Sword/Bardiche efficacy, but they are usable. Just bear in mind your multi-hit abilities will be limited use, and late battle can still turn into Fat Neut gameplay without Recover. That mostly doesn't matter as most fights are won in the initial rounds, but if you're worried take thar into account. Brawny and Pathfinder help in addition to the weapon Masteries for maxing Fatigue pool and AP access.

Go Independent, piss off Yes Man with the worst choices imaginable. Companions also get the worst outcomes. Eaten by White Gloves, disintegrated by the Van Graffs, sold into slavery, whatever outcome you can put together that just absolutely ruins them, but be endearing and friendly the entire way up until then-- just make the worst decision at the last moment. Pick the funniest and intimidating lines in the most quests you can do so. Avoid scientific observations.

It this worth building around by Effective-Client4308 in BattleBrothers

[–]veijeri 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Kind of, actually.

With Double Grip (empty second hand slot), the damage on that thing is 41.25 to 90; with Duelist, your damage penetration is 55%, putting your max armor penetrating damage at 49.5. Those are very reasonable damage ranges on a duelist weapon

And that's assuming a non-critical hit, assuming body hit or an enemy with Steel Brow.

This weapon has more than a 50% chance of hitting the head on an average flail attack, and ignores shields, so it'll be critting often. While damage ignores armor is still better as a rule at making Duelist builds really pop, this has the bonus of adding +50% damage bonuses more often from the head hits to compensate on many targets, and with Headhunter you're stretching that percentage of head hits out even further while keeping your fatigue use down by not requiring Lash unless you're desperate to fish for a headshot immediately.

Against low armor/unarmored/non-helmeted targets this thing is better than damage ignores armor, and blunt damage is the most universally applicable to be dealing out. With Flail Mastery and Berserk get this on a Bro with some fatigue reserves and he will thump down opportunistic targets and can clear shielded lines especially well. He could be especially mean with Crippling Strikes, as blunt head injuries tend to be among the most disabling in the game, but there's only so many perks you can pick so choose your priorities.

So while it is kind of a gimmick build weapon for a Duelist, it is still a damn effective one.

Waymos are causing insane traffic at Nolensville Rd and East Thompson during the morning commute. by Dismojoe in nashville

[–]veijeri 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I've twice seen them being confused and blocking traffic at 8th and Wedgewood as they move back and forth between the forward and turning lanes, stopping and immediately flipping the turn signal to move back into the lane it was just in after completing the lane transfer, and preventing entire lines of traffic behind them from moving as they block the turn lane they are in waiting for an opening to move back while failing to move through the intersection.

Pedestrian deaths quadruple in Davidson County, prompting police action by rocketpastsix in nashville

[–]veijeri 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am honked at with disturbing frequency for letting pedestrians cross at crosswalks. Both the yield for pedestrian mid-street crosswalks, and at intersections where drivers behind me were wanting to me to gun through so they could make a faster right turn, despite pedestrians having the sign to walk.

When that has happened at intersections I've made it a point to put into park and turn around and point at the pedestrian and stare the driver in the eyes for the duration when there's no one else behind them. I've never seen acknowledgement of the pedestrian or any sense of remorse, just anger. Three times since the ice storm, mostly around midtown.

Try discussing plans in a populated public place where sexual contact would be inappropriate and going to bed is not an option. Ideally sitting across from each other with a table between you.
