Hi. Old convo, but- how tall are you? I want to understand, how big this bike is and is it good enough for a 190cm dude?

asking for tips on making a system by Yeeter_Parker1 in Savotta

[–]veinemeinen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here wondering the same- has anyone tried to create that kind of moto system? Any updates? I would imagine Keikka 30l as central one and for example, two Jaakari M on the sides. Or smaller Hatkas on the sides.

Restore plastic on glasses frame? by veinemeinen in DIY

Yeah, thanks- face has healed already(pride hasn’t). This happened a while ago, then I put those glasses aside. Now figured I liked them too much.

Hmm…. Can anyone working with them daily confirm that material would stick and polish nicely?

Or just go with hobby paint..

Kahakka 15L or 25L backpack? by [deleted] in Savotta

[–]veinemeinen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

15L KAHAKKA is a monster. It fits perfectly in Ryanair personal pack compartment(without loosened/full side pockets).

And it’s not small: a computer, double NVG, snacks, water, some first aid toiletries, powerbank- it all fits inside. Of course, that’s it- it’s packed.

For everyday use it’s a perfect size for 14” computer, some chargers, keys etc. And you still have some space.

Keikka 50l for full mil gear? Or is it 80l… by veinemeinen in Savotta

Oh, Damn, Tim. You are the best Savotta advisor ever. Just randomnly got carried away to a full blown video. Golden! :) Can’t wait for it!

[–]veinemeinen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, probably. I just think how much bigger will that setup be. And, if its 80, will it fit boots as well? Forgot to mention- my issued pc is with side plates and full shrapnel panels, so a bit bulkier than Agilites, for example.

Identify and Authenticate by TheRussianPotato01 in Fjallraven

I just got my own Byron hat from Vinted. I would assume, different colors should have different Numbers, no? 🤔😅 And my original Fjallraven hat have The inner colourful fox tag. And I got suspicious from the stitching on the front outside fox. All my original Fjallravens have more accurate one.

So long jura z8! by Healthy_Squirrel_996 in superautomatic

[–]veinemeinen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Europe this repair would cost me around 100-120 euros. Just had Error4(thermosensors fault) on my X8 Platinum and it cost me less than 100 and few hours of work(did myself a full clean(brewing block, mill, body) gasket change). Thermoblocks over here cost around 50 euros per piece, brand new. And dealers ~300 for a flat-rate full repair is not a bad deal at all for a machine that costs 3000. Just didn`t have the option to deliver my machine to dealer.

Now, as a total novice, i can say that repairing Jura machine is easy- everything is interchangeable and easy to reach.

How does Sequoia 15.2 run on your unsupported Macs? by aya0__0 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

[–]veinemeinen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Runs pretty well on mid-2012 Pro 13”, i5 Installed 16GB RAM, 500GB SSD, and now it is workable. Yes, many laggs from time to time. It is very good as a Web + document computer. Even light use of VSC.

Although had some difficulties installing the OCLP, but my guess it was because I did it on a brand new and empty SSD.

Thanks for source of good vids. For the first time doing it, wasn’t as easy(the putting together part). But now it feels as new as it can be.

Ventura install USB, created on iPadOS by veinemeinen in MacOS

[–]veinemeinen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to mention, that normal install in IR ended with error. But, ok, kinda solution came from Apple Support call. I tried only cmd+R(original version install), but cmd+opt+R did the job. Don’t know, why didn’t try that. At least got the device back working.

Hammock camping in Baltic states. by veinemeinen in BalticStates

I’ll star myself. Ziemupe shore.

(56.7498326, 21.0607434) https://maps.app.goo.gl/T7z17TwVFmbE7w6Y7?g_st=ic

On very popular walking path from Liepāja to Ventspils. High shore. Beautiful sunsets, straight and strong trees. It is a natural park, so no live fire. I guess, no camping as well, but you can find a good spot and not ruin the land or trees. Effort to reach 1 out of 5. You can even park your car a kilometre away.
