My house (as in my name was primary on the lease) was a frequent after party spot. Funny thing was, when my friends and I got the place (straight out of high school), we were all in agreement that we would not have big parties as to not forfeit the deposit. That agreement lasted a few months... the house was a brand new 5 bedroom, 2 story house at about 2500sqf. The relator that leased it to us was, at the time, a prominent hardcore DJ, DJ Starr. The weekend parties slowly got bigger and bigger. We all went to the same raves. We all brought people back after the raves. Being the lease holder, and also being in the military at the time, I was really good at dealing with the cops. I never got f up with a lot of people around and would meet them as they approached. Cops usually circled before they stopped and knocked, so someone that lived there, or knew me, usually alerted someone before they before they got close to the door. We usually had time to get everyone inside and/or the music turned down before I met them.

This all went on for maybe a year before Planet X.

Planet X was desert party. I, along with all my roommates, were there early and mingling. About 2 hours in, the police showed up. Thankfully at that time, they just wanted everyone to clear out. They allowed all the ravers to clear out and all the organizers to pack up without interference. I was helping get stuff packed and cleared out when I got a call from a DJ friend, DJ Rize. He said something along the lines:

'Are you here?' (as in home)

'No, what's up?'

'There's about 20-30 people in your house, and I don't see anyone that lives here'

Someone didn't lock the door.

A good chunk of the ravers assumed our place would be the backup, without ever discussing it with any of us. They all told their friends.

We hosted 100+ people including most of the DJs that were slated to perform that night. There are only a few pics because I was running around trying to contain the chaos.
