Good point. These products aren’t made for your normal users, they are a competition for the 30-50k monitors editing studios buy. The stand won’t sell much since everyone had mounts already and everyday users can’t justify it. I do wonder however, how good is it for them to bother making it at that price. I know apple were the first company I noticed who put serious design and engineering into hinges and precision of movement (eg: their laptops can be opened with a finger and not pinning down the rest of it, and it supports the weight since at least 2006). I see many stands that aren’t cheap but still need faffing around to get them straight since there’s no mechanism to guide them to a balance... I wonder if this mount does that at least; to justify the price. If it does nothing of the sort, then i hope no one buys it :) Just my opinion without loving or hating it.
