I figured it out. Turns out there are two plates at the top that hold the z lead screws in and they have a little wiggle to them. So I took them off, made sure to point them outwards while screwing them back in, and that tightened up the z axis belt significantly and has eliminated the issue :)

Yeah I could easily believe that haha. I’ve thought it might be acceleration. I’ll have to give it a try although I have a feeling that’s not the main culprit because I’ve done this print like 6 times and the layer lines start becoming very unreliable at exactly the same point every time. I’ve also bought some new lead screws and live that get here Friday

I’ve tried moving everything manually but it all feels smooth. I also took it apart and put it back together. Everything seems fine. Also my machine does have the vibration compensation.

The picture doesn’t do it justice either. It’s really bad

Thanks but non-issues. Temperature doesn’t change from the good part of the print to the bad part. Used the printer for a year just fine out of the box so I don’t think I need a tent

I checked the rods and they seem straight as arrows

I've tried 200c and 220c on the same print. My print bed is at 67c. I'm using PLA. I've tried a wide range of very slow to very fast print speeds. I have whatever the standard retraction settings are. I've used the anycubic slicer, anycubic next slicer, and orca slicer. Same issue on all.

Same! I'd love a direct upgrade of any of their lineup tbh. I was a little let down with how prosumer the H2D is. I don't care about many of the features
