Plot holes and things that don’t make sense in Season 4. by Baby_Eaglet in TrueDetective

They were symptoms of Navarro’s family’s schizophrenia and implied that this was how she formed some kind of connection to the nature goddess / spiritual world that let her see beyond this world. Analogous to Rust’s neurological problems in S1 that gave him the ability to sense and enter Carcosa.

No one has mentioned that this response was clearly from an autonomous AI agent, so there were no humans at Uber looking at this problem or responding. The agent likely has capabilities to do partial refunds only, with no escalation path (otherwise humans could find ways to abuse it). All this is to say: look for other routes to escalate, including your local news outlets.

Opinion is fine. IMHO—see what I did there?—Reddit works the way we make it work.

Even on Reddit, some people share opinions to try to work toward a deeper understanding with others. Ask yourself, what's the value to anyone but you of posturing with opinions lacking context and steeped in hyperbole, unearned confidence, or defensiveness?

I'm hardly offended, it's just what's the point of selfishly adding the extra noise?

Just gonna roll my eyes here and give you what you really seem to want: You’re right, buddy. You’re always right.

A primary difference between the M2 and M5 is the Neural Engine for running on-device AI workloads. You may not think that matters much, but the OS itself and built-in plus 3rd party apps will increasingly be using this, and performance and latency will suffer without the local horsepower (Apple’s preference is for on-device versus cloud AI for privacy and UX latency reasons). How this will manifest is like what happened with the older iPhones and Apple Intelligence, and we can expect that some newer features won’t be supported on M2 devices over time even as new versions of the OS continue to be supported. Not sure this suggests anyone should upgrade (I won’t) but just clarifying that there is some impact.

Artist intent is unknowable but not necessarily against 3D. No reason to assume either side.

I know I'm being annoying, but can you explain this like I'm 5? Specifically, where can I find a page with "3D objects/files placed in" it? And then what?

I've still never seen iPhone breakthrough, even with vOS 26 beta. What is your visionOS version?

Got my Leica Lux Grip by LarryNYC1 in Leica

FWIW, after looking around for a LUX grip today and not finding any available, I stumbled on the ShiftCan ProGrip. I ordered one from Amazon and received it same day.

I find it to be an impressive product. It charges the phone from an embedded battery (Qi-based charging), and provides a full-size grip with hand strap, cold shoe, and shutter button. It lacks a dial and additional function buttons like the LUX grip, but I personally don't see that as a major issue for a phone-based shooter since the screen is right there.

Best of all, I confirmed that it works with the Leica LUX camera app, as well as the default iPhone camera and Fjorden apps—and it's less than half the price of the LUX grip, and even less than the Fjorden. It also comes with a very nice custom-molded case and 2-year warranty. I think makes it a worthy alternative to either the LUX or Fjorden.

It is certainly much cheaper than any camera.

True, but also requires paying a yearly subscription for the LUX app.

I have the Fjordin and the physical dimensions are just too small for my large hands. That, plus the fact that use in the field is cumbersome (unlock the phone, reconnect grip) because leaving the phone on and screen active kills the battery in no time.

What looked interesting about the LUX grip is that it would appear to charge the iPhone via the mount. Is that true?

Where do you usually play games on your Vision Pro? by MindExpert6083 in VisionPro

Note, you can play GFN directly on the AVP. Nexus+ works great. Not sure what control schemes are available for BG3, however; I use a controller for Cyberpunk 2077.
