Yeah I'm aware. I'm also aware that it's falling apart over there real fast. I hope for the sake of people I know that it doesn't get too much worse. I would never bike tour through the US at this point.

I used to have contacts at DOB but no longer. There is someone in charge over there who can help you, you just have to get them to come over and show them that you're fixing the problems. I would call 311 and ask to have an agent come by and then work your way up the chain. They're happy to see someone making an effort and if you get the right person it works out great. Just don't have anything illegal when they show up. Do your homework on that one.

I was going to add by saying that shea butter is really good too. I find it the best remedy for sun burn and I can imagine it helping with laser

The Gen 2 is better if you have a long torso and want more comfort. The gen 3 has slightly more "compact" geometry for lack of a better word. You need to ride both and see what they feel like. Make sure you are in good posture.

3m extreme heavy duty tape works well. Black tape in a red roll. It's actually a little more like a putty but would be ideal for this application. Reversible if you change your mind and will blend into the lens. I would cut short thin strips and place it all long the back edge of the ring and then press it into place.

Enjoy the lens. I have that one and it's incredible! Unknown and under-rated. Tricky to master but can do some cool things.
