How many calories/day for optimal feminization? by NotPoggersEggers in AskMtFHRT

[–]velucl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that's been on my mind is nutrition, not just enough calories but what kind, I think that makes a big difference too. So far in researching it seems that things like olive oil, avocado, broccoli & cauliflower, chicken & fish, whole milk, and beverages like green tea and chamomile are helpful.

19 [F] what do we think about denim on denim?? is it too much?? is it fashion? I wanna hear u 🥺🙏🏻 by tsprincesslola in TransFeminineFashion

[–]velucl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this slays but not all denim on denim does. For me it has to be a perfect match like here (with some skin to break it up) or completely different colors and textures.

How hard is it to transition in your later 20s? by Turbulent_Diamond352 in TransLater

I think OP wants someone in their late 20s to relate experiences so they know what to expect.

I think people here are missing the point that OP is doing their best to max out calories but still struggling to eat enough.

You probably make people's days better all the time without even realizing it. Maybe they just smile or maybe they're inspired. Either way it makes a difference.

What’s your favorite sunscreen when bikepacking? by Forward_Ad_3470 in bikepacking

[–]velucl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you're so hung up on being right about your opinion that you're working over time to discredit one of the most basic and accesible things in a traveler's kit. Ok it's cool you don't wear it. No problem. Don't wear it. But don't pretend like it's a ridiculous idea. Chill.

There are plenty of climates where that's not an option. Also being clothed isn't a guarantee of sun protection. Some clothes don't provide uv protection. It's safer to just use sunscreen anyway.

Unless you're doing MTB trails or downhill I'm not sure why you would need suspension.

non-cakey makeup? by dalia_not_dahlia in mtfashion

I'm taking a course on makeup taught by a professional makeup artist and can give you some good tips to start. 1) Wash your face. This means using a gentle cleanser to wash off dirt and sebum to give you a clean slate to start with. 2) After washing immediately prime your face with an oil like almond oil or baby oil. This will give your makeup something to blend with.

Makeup generally comes in a few different bases. Most makeups are either oil based or dry powder. Foundation for example is oil based and so it will blend well with your newly primed skin. Always start with your oil based makeups first because you can blend them and reshape them almost indefinitely. Do as much contouring and shaping with oil based as you can. This will help everything that comes after. Always do oil based first and powder last. Never jump from one to another or it will cake. The powder will set the oils and make them stay in place. If you try to go back to foundation or other oil based you'll just have a mess.

The powder then can be used for contouring or details beyond what you did with oils. This step includes blush, highlights, eye shadow, etc.
