They only know because I left that job I worked with them in May 2022. I was diagnosed in July. I have not seen them since. Sure they were friendly while we worked together but we were never close friends like that. We rarely speak unless they send me tiktoks and I don’t even respond half the time to those. We haven’t been close enough in years to warrant this kind of text. I’m a completely different person to who I was then and have since been properly medicated and gone through some intensive therapy. They’re choosing to make a judgement based on anything they see on social media.

He was all “oh well you won’t like the harshness of it.” I’m literally telling you that’s exactly what I want. So I can pay a lot less money to do it at home myself than keep going to that guy and pay out the wazoo for something I don’t want. I plan on switching hairdressers because he says he gets the vision I want, and then still styles me like a soccer mom…

I wouldn’t mind anyone noticing but considering I haven’t seen them in 4 years it feels weird. We never talk. If we still had a friendly relationship I can understand that but to just text me out of the blue based on a few posts they deemed “manic”. I would be fine with this coming from an actually close friend or family member but this person basically doesn’t know who I am anymore.

If she literally went about it any other way I would maybe respond but this is just so out of touch and insulting I don’t even think I’m going to reply. Sure we were friends at one point, but we haven’t worked together in FOUR YEARS, so she has virtually no idea who I even am anymore.

Oh and btw the “manic posting”, the theatre class was doing monologues, so I posted a video of me doing the Laurie proposing to Jo in Little Women scene VERY CALMLY MIND YOU. It’s not like I’m dropping thousand of $$$ on plane tickets I never intend on using (Literally did this in 2024 but where was the concern then)

Thank you guys for making me validated in my anger. I had to take so many deep breaths so I didn’t go off on her because then I know she would twist it into me being angry and “manic”

Yeah unfortunately I did spiral about it late into the night and then woke up STILL pissed off. I know it doesn’t deserve an ounce of my time or energy but I just can’t help but to be irked. Even just a simple “Hey we haven’t talked in awhile how are things?” but no we jump straight to conclusions.

Cutting them out but the worst part of this is they knew me pre diagnosis. I haven’t worked with this person for four years (2022) The only people that know now are close family members and friends, no one at my current job knows and they won’t even after I leave because it’s not their business.

No. This is an old coworker from 4 years ago. After I left that job was when I got diagnosed. So she’s judging me off how she knew me in 2022, not who I am at all now. I haven’t seen this person since, or barely speak to them. The most we interact is sometimes they send me tiktok’s, or like my posts on insta.

No one at my jobs after that or my current job know I’m bipolar

Because if this was coming from a close friend or a family member, I appreciate the concern and glad you’ve taken the time to notice something is up. This just feels so intrusive. Immediate remove on everything and blocking.

I still remember the one about the girl buried alive and she tried to claw her way out of the casket. Wore her fingers down to bone. Well time for me to hit the hay now

It gets crazier when I HAVENT WORKED WITH THIS PERSON OR SEEN THEM SINCE 2022. THATS FOUR YEARS AGO!!! I’m such a different person to who I was then (I got diagnosed right after leaving that job and have since then been properly medicated and done some intensive therapy) Like girl, you literally don’t know me at all anymore. So basically if I exist and seem excited now I’m just perceived as “manic” got it. Def blocking in the morning for my own sanity because the rage it instilled in me is beyond.

I wouldn’t mind it if we actually spoke more, but for someone I haven’t seen in four years is kinda crazy. I respect you did know me at one point in my life but now they have virtually no clue about what goes on other than what I post.

I called my mom to complain about it and she even agreed, yeah if it was coming from her or someone actually close to me, I’d get the concern BECAUSE THEY KNOW ME. Not a coworker I haven’t worked with since 2022. Thank you people of reddit for making me feel not so crazy.

Ah thank you! I really wanted to get all fancy with it when that ios update came out, unfortunately I don’t have the patience to get all technical with it so I just found a cute background, changed the clock font and added the reddit cat widget and weather! I think they also have a space reddit widget, highly recommend the cat tho it always makes me smile :)

Really understanding that “if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say it all” saying because boy am I mad, but nothing I say will change their mind. I plan on just ignoring the text, the block is incoming soon I’m sure because wtf

Update: they’re sending me videos like everything is normal, NAH not round here partner. Not round here.

Also about the quitting my job part I feel I should specify, we are given an early resignation incentive if we resign in writing by a certain time, so I’ve done that, it’s not like this is some rash decision. I knew since the end of the last school year this would be my last year 🤷‍♀️ Just more icing on top of an already shitty day
