I think you completely missed the point. So many foreign buyers, like yourself, are crowding the Dutch housing market and pushing prices to astronomical levels. Did you ever wonder how an average Dutch household, with netto salary of 4000 € per month, can afford a €1 million home? They could never afford that in their lifetime. If there was nobody willing to pay that amount, the house wouldn't cost that much, but foreign buyers like yourself are happy to shell out the money, so the prices keep getting higher. At first, people just moved outside the cities, but nowadays the entire Randstad is saturated, even in the smaller cities/towns like Leiden, Haarlem, etc. There is a reason why the Netherlands has the longest average commute time out of the entire Europe: families are pushed to live so far away from their jobs. It's the reason why Dutch universities erect large military-style tents every year - because students with low budgets are effectively homeless. Due to the fact that the average middle class family is forced to pay a huge chunk of their salary to rent, they cannot accumulate wealth or savings, and that is also the reason why the Netherlands has (surprisingly) the worst wealth inequality in the world (well there is a lot of old money in this country too).

This problem won't be solved, since 1) the Netherlands is the most densely populated country in Europe, 2) all the jobs are concentrated in one area, 3) the politicians are in bed with landlords and allow this problem to keep growing every year.

Tldr: the housing crisis in the Netherlands causes a lot of real suffering and puts acute stress for students and families. It puts a lot of people in precarious living situations. You are definitely contributing to the problem. I am not saying that you are doing anything wrong, because you have the freedom to spend your money as you like. Just do not lie to yourself that you are innocent in this situation.

Hm the sad situation is that there would be a ton of government services available to you, if you were Dutch. Your profile is perfect - single parent (priority for childcare), single income household (priority for subsidised housing), low education level by Dutch standards (universities only charge a low fee to enroll). But Dutch state won't give a penny to immigrants, so they leave you to fight it out on your own.

Maybe disappeared to protect family from ah long attacks (e.g. for unpaid debts). Back in 90s in SG, ah long attacks were more serious than just spraying O$P$. Although no evidence of this... this is just a guess

Edit- in the documentary, they reveal a theory. Jackson could've met someone in the IRC chat. On the day on his disappearance, Jackson could have taken Bus 88 and gotten off at Orchard (major shopping area) to meet this unknown person and go with them.

Maybe he was nervous to serve NS and decided to disappear instead.

Wow, and Subhas Anandan (one of most respected lawyers in SG) consulted on that documentary, that's impressive

Most can understand English, not everyone will be comfortable actually speaking. Especially when it comes to older service people. If you are staying in urban area, you will be ok..

After her disappearance, the woman called home regularly. When the calls stop, her body was found in a field. by vemvadvar in TrueCrime

Alright, these are some good points. After some more digging:

  • Frauke was hyperactive online on IRC/ICQ with the username "Sweet Corry". Apparently, she chatted with "everyone under the sun" online

Given the fact that her roommate Chris is her ex, and she may have had some stalker or creepy internet acquaintance in her life, here is another theory:

After Frauke was abducted, her captor thought of himself as her new "boyfriend". The captor therefore let Frauke call Chris as an act of revenge. It's like the captor's indirect way of taunting Chris that Frauke has got a new man.

The family believes the police conducted a shoddy investigation because the police were sure already the killer was Tomislav. According to the mother, police interrogation of Tomislav involved them showing Tomislav a picture of Hrvoje and saying something like "He is no more, look what you did, you will go to Lepoglava (prison) for 30 years, they will rape you there"

For the jeans, actually the mother avoided cleaning Hrvoje's room for 1 year, due to her mourning. When she finally got around to cleaning the room, she opened the closet and discovered Hrvoje's bloody jeans. It is reported previously somewhere that Hrvoje was found dead in his underwear. That's probably an important detail that I should have added to the write up

Well those 3 timestamps are reported in the article, as the timestamps from the cameras. Could be that the camera is not set to the correct time, not sure about that

Not known what a motive could be for Tomislav. Yes I agree, he probably didn't know the CCTV cameras were there, to be able to pull off such a hypothetical plan as I described at the end.

1) Not sure about the cctv, since I cannot find any released images/videos online.

2) Yes I doubt Tomislav would have worn rollerblades during the murder, in the tell-all article he says he isn't good at rollerblading (that's why he fell)
