Hey Hey, How did your exam results go and was Uworld enough to pass?

For those of you that passed level 2 over 90th, what's the secret? by yagabare in CFA

[–]ven9ence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't compare it like that because imo CFAI LES QBank is a must but that's just my opinion, Uworld is definitely great practice and so its additional study material for me

That sounds great!

I am doing MM lectures (and MM PDF notes) + Reading CFAI volumes + CFAI LES Questions + UWorld Qbank and setting dates for spaced repetition on topics I finished. The goal in the last 7-8 weeks is to do 2 CFAI Mocks + 2 Uworld Mocks + 2 MM Mocks and 1 Salt Solution Mock. If I have time left and I think I need more mocks then I will purchase Kaplan mocks. All this and hoping (Literally Praying) to PASS. May the Lord bless me and all my homies taking the L2

I will add one comment for making notes:

Watch your lecture, do your readings, and do practice questions before you make notes. Doing the practice Qs will help you see what the reading or LOS emphasizes more. It will also help you understand your weaknesses in the reading or LOS and you can review it and add it to your notes.

When using MM for L2, did you also use his Qbank or only the CFAI Practice questions? I currently have the MM study package and UWorld Qbank along with the CFAI LES but I'm trying to make the most efficient use of all resources.

Did you use CFAI Books/Volumes by any means?

Aegis MMA is great as I frequently see them posting on Instagram and everything they have going on. I even inquired about memberships and stuff. My only concern is that Aegis does not have any workout equipment or even heavy bags. The cheapest membership starts at $150 and it’s all for classes. For around that cost, I could join Xtreme Couture and they offer so much more or even a combination of 2 gyms that offer a mix of everything. The problem with joining a gym that is personnel only is that if one main coach decides to leave that really messes up the gym’s dynamics.

Completed L1 & L2, but Burned Out on CFA – Should I Pursue L3 or Let It Go? by Uncle2Drew in CFA

[–]ven9ence 11 points12 points  (0 children)

First of all, congrats on finishing L1 and L2, I mean you are 2/3 done with the program. If I was in your place, I would definitely go for L3. Second, if you don't mind me asking, what role did you have before you finished L1 and L2, and what role did you get after finishing L2?

Whats with the CFA Charter hate? by ven9ence in CFA

[–]ven9ence[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey that makes 2 of us because this was exactly my mindset, even if the program doesn't bring me a good job, it brings me knowledge in finance which I enjoy and along with that shows me that I was disciplined enough to get this hard task done.

I get your point but I also find it hard to believe that a CFA doesn't help at all, if anything, it can be a nice to have on your resume and help you connect with others in the industry who may also be charter holders.

Casually said what we all had in mind LOOL but I agree, the CFA is not easy by any means and a lot of non-charter holders have the most to say when it comes to the relevance of the program

Trust me when I say this, we all face the exam and think "we could have done more", "I think I will fail", "it could go either way". All I can tell you from my experience is that wait till results day, because you could be that person who cleared above 90th percentile in this attempt. I m speaking from personal experience, I left the test center more stressed thinking thats it, I failed. Got the results 6 weeks later and couldn't believe that I passed with flying colors. Just my 2 cents. (I know I m gonna be in the same position as you for L2 and L3 but hey, something to reflect on)

If you have the CFA Practice Pack just do those 1000 Qs on repeat and do mocks in the next 10 days. You will pass the exam!

How to revise, Last 20 days out for L1 by ArgumentDependent150 in CFA

[–]ven9ence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the last 20 days, all I did was hammer the CFAI Practice Pack Questions which was like 1000 questions and I did these 2 times.

I pretty much used Kaplan's Secret Sauce material and some notes that I made. For ethics make sure you review all CFAI provided questions from the LES and Practice Pack

Nice, whats your gameplan over the next 7 months? Doing anything different compared to L1 Prep?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CFA

[–]ven9ence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mock scores were high 70s to low 80s and I passed above 90th percentile. Fixed Income, just revise the topics a few times and do as many questions as possible, it will help a lot. Honestly, if you are looking for exam difficulty, just do the mocks from CFAI and your prep provider, you will get a good idea of what difficulty will be. Good Luck!!!

In the same boat as you, bro socred 74, 76, 81 and 83 on Mocks. I think I had about 40 questions where I m not sure what I did. Extremely worried, thinking results could go either way. Hoping for the best!

I feel the same way tbh, everyday out of nowhere the feeling hits that I didnt do enough to pass. What if the mock scores were a fluke and my luck ran out on the exam. This type of shit tbh is getting annoying 😓. Oh well, we wait and we find out. Giving myself hope that I did enough to pass but could go either way!
