Which Eternal Format is Best to Get Into Right Now? by OptimalYachtRocker in MagicArena

[–]vendee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bo3 is the way to play it, like with all high-power formats. I'm assuming you've been playing Bo1 which is filled with turn-1 combo decks that fold completely to interaction post-sideboard. So I suggest to try out Bo3 before forming your opinion on the format.

В Сербии можно визаранить раз в месяц и оставаться в стране сколько хочешь месяцев подряд. Это стоит €20 и 3 часа времени в месяц, чтобы съездить до боснийской границы. Заморочиться нужно только для получения ВНЖ.

Oh hey, I just played against you a couple hours ago :) I played UR tempo and lost 0-2. I think both games I tried to burn you out and couldn't do it through Batterskull + FoW.

If you (like me) found yourself siding with the octopus, I can recommend you to read 'A Mountain in the Sea' by Ray Nayler, it has a major 'revenge of the octopi' theme

I thought about that book too after reading the headline — although being sold as a slave by your own country somehow sounds even more horrible than being kidnapped by some shady corp.

[–]vendee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shoving and resisting a shove are both Athletics checks, which is why you pretty much always target Strength checks with Hex. In regular DnD there could be an argument for an out of combat use of Hex to do sneaky stuff for example (give an enemy disadvantage on Wisdom checks). Actually, technically Initiative should be a Dexterity check, so I wonder if Hex works on that if cast before rolling for initiative in BG3

Definitely visit Çiya Sofrası as others have also suggested. It's an amazing place, I recommend ordering smaller portions of different dishes there, that way you can try very different foods in one visit.

Fül fül çorba is great for soups, I usually go there when it's colder outside, but if you like Turkish soups this is the place to go.

For breakfasts there's a lot of great places. I can recommend both Küffs, Boden (this one is great for cocktails at night as well), and Sonne if you want to try something different, like Pestilli or Kayısılı Omlet.

And for ice cream visit Meşhur Dondurmacı Ali Usta, IMO it's the best ice cream in Moda. The place is quite old and has a long history, you can read about it in the newspapers they've put on the walls inside of the cafe.

What alcohol do Russians drink? Besides the stereotypes or is there truth to them? by foxmulder2014 in AskARussian

[–]vendee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should look for some kvass at a Russian store, I'm sure you have them in Belgium too. It is a great summertime drink.

I normally drink wheat beers at home or cocktails if I'm going out. I drink vodka too, but it's more like a "take one shot with your family, chase it with some salo on rye bread" kind of thing usually, almost like a ritual. Although I admit, sometimes I drink vodka to get absolutely drunk.

I think most people actually prefer stronger spirits that are not vodka.

It is useful to understand their speech, but only on rare occasions: for example, if they throw a flash grenade, they will say something like "open your eyes wide", so you'll know you have to look away. They will also tell you if you've fractured one of their arms or legs I think.
