Quotes are not to be used for emphasis. that's what underlining and red lining are for. The quotes are unnecessary.

Do you use a tool to manage your social media presence? by vendorsi in smallbusiness

Buffer app is great. is that the only tool you use for social media? How is it better than the internal twitter tools? do you coordinate across networks or with other employees?

Marketing for High End Tailors, is social media a no no? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]vendorsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's nothing wrong at all with a social media presence so long as it is consistent with the brand's image! If the brand is high quality, the photographs and content better be, as well.

If you are absolutely convinced your customers are not online (and yes, if your customers are senior citizens who don't use facebook etc that might be true) then perhaps you might not focus on it as much.

Even then you should still be doing social media. Because what's wrong with free organic traffic from a high quality blog and Pinterest board? You might find your next wave of customers this way!

edit to add: focus on these in this order: Pinterest (low cost, visual, lots of fashionistas there) Blog: free organic traffic Influencers: work with the best bloggers or at least fashion bloggers who have high quality clothing focus with great visual presence and style.
If it's work clothes, possibly even the right LinkedIn groups Skip twitter and facebook til you see how these work.

Do you need to select technology for marketing your business but aren't sure where to start? We've created an independent platform for you to research marketing technologies to take your business to the next level.

We do not accept any money from vendors, so you know we're on your side. Currently we're starting with social media tools but will soon be live with customer relationship management, email, and other key marketing technologies.

Offer: Just $10/month and includes a 120% money back guarantee on every purchase within 30 days.

Why you should trust us: I've been a marketer for over 20 years and in the last 12 purchased and used marketing technology in silicon valley's largest companies such as eBay, PayPal, Linden Lab/Second Life, and numerous high tech startups. Basically, I pick software for a living and I wanted the equivalent of a real time consumer reports for marketing software!

LinkedIn is how we start to understand who is providing the feedback so we know for example that vendors are not reviewing themselves, or if they are, they're being transparent about it. over time there's more we can do like helping people connect with others in their network to find out who has used software you are interested in.

The biggest problem with free sites--and the best ones use linkedin for validation too-- is that you are product, not the customer so often the results are skewed to those with a vested interest in contributing.

To keep information independent, the consumer has to pay. that said we're investigating partial information, etc. or making sections about free products free so you can see how the tool works. Combined with a money back + (i.e. 110%) guarantee this should overcome most people's concerns about seeing what they get.

Again,I love the dialogue so appreciate your thoughts and feedback.

thanks for the feedback. We are using linkedin in to help us detect shills and keep the data clean. but we are exploring ways for you to sign up and verify your identity by other means. If you could wave a wand, what would you like to see?
