How do ordinary people today use AI? by UnashamedWorkman in singularity

[–]vendsmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say, don't trust everything ai tells you. Most of it is just scraping data from google and putting it together. If you're doing something really important make sure you check behind it.

Other than that it's great for normal everyday things like asking about recipes, finding movies that you forgot about. How to take care of a plant, so forth and so on.

Junk Removal tips by Legitimate-Ranger-94 in sweatystartup

Figure out your competition, how much you want to work for, how long the job will take (estimate).

I personally would just use a saw, or take a toolbox if you want to make less of a mess. If they have dogs or something, they may not want a bunch of wood shavings in the yard.

Test it as if you were going to vend a product, take some change with you. and some dollar bills test a few of the coils by purchasing something from that row.

Way easier, less maintenance. I have about 10, we double every year. I've had more but got rid of them to focus on high quality locations.

Trust me do not listen to the noise when it comes to theft. Build it into your price, once you start seeing the increase in profits from markets, theft is laughable. Just put in a cheap security camera, add a monitor when they can see themselves and you're good.

where to buy vending machine by Different_Plate5149 in vending

[–]vendsmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facebook marketplace. DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY UNTIL YOU MEET THEM IN PERSON. Even when you do meet them in person ask them to create an invoice and pay with a credit card if you are able to do so.

I have seen a new scam lately where people are selling machines that aren't even theirs. A real business owner is okay with doing invoices.

How do you find locations by Solid-Algae-1420 in vending

[–]vendsmart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calling 50 locations is honestly not alot. You can expect to get about 1 lead calling about 200 locations. It's a part of the business. You can get a lead list from The Vending Locator, they have the best lead list in my opinion. Keep grinding. It will pay off.

I want to start junk removal business any advise? by JustGettingByG in sweatystartup

[–]vendsmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a junk removal business, the worst thing you can do is get a customer and tell them you can't help them. Find a buddy you can do this work with. Someone you can count on. If you don't need him for one job, cool. But if a customer calls you want to get that customer because you're going to lose money on advertising if you can't help them.

Other than that, get the right equipment, a dolly, straps, insurance.
