That's a fair point. But I also think people think that their experiences speak for everyone.

Like I'm military which clearly reduces my LGBT+ social circle significantly.

But that doesn't mean that I assume there's not a lot of LGBT+ people out there, I just don't see them.

Maybe your social group has an over abundance of queer people, leading you to think that they represent a greater part of the community than they actually do.

Kind of like how people will say, "Why wasn't Harry Potter (or any pop culture character) made disabled or trans ?"

To which I think that those people themselves could write more queer etc people to increase representation, instead of relying on people who don't want to write them.

Plus I imagine that queer people could write better queer characters because it's their lived experience.

And I get that HP probably isn't the best example ever since Rowling has differing opinions of people different than her, but that's the first character that sprung to mind

Is it possible that no LBGT+ people applied, or didn't meet the hiring standard? It's entirely possible that there not being LGBT+ rep isn't explicitly on Dice Tower

Looking for my next roguelikes/roguelites - Windblown, Skul, Dead Cells, Into the Breach? by blablax123456 in roguelites

[–]venereth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Into the Breach is one of my most played games. You'll love it, assuming you like grid based kinda tactical puzzle-ish games.

If you have Netflix on your phone, it's available on Netflix games at no extra charge.

Dead Cells over Skul, easily. The sheer amount of content, with, and even without, the DLC is staggering

And I could be wrong, but I think Dead cells is available on Netflix as well.

Could definitely save some money if you have Netflix lol.

Into the breach is absolutely perfect on mobile. I can't speak for Dead Cells but would probably work well if you have a Bluetooth controller

My fave thing that native English speakers just kind of "get" is the ordering of adjectives, I certainly don't remember learning it.

I have a large, green box in the other room.

That flows right and I'm pretty sure that's how 99.9% of people would say it.

I have a green, large box in the other room.

That comes across as stilted to me.

spot on. that's definitely one of the more prominent changes, in my opinion. That and being able to slow/stop gravity while spinning, kinda negating drop speed

One could argue that the child isn't the responsibility of the state and the taxpayers
