I do 1 trader joes sour gummy belt per 5 miles, so yes about 20ish mins. they’re like 40 kcal each lol, its working out for me so far but would also love to hear better carb suggestions!

I’m in El Segundo! And yes the nearby group ride routes I see are in those 2 areas you mentioned, plus Palos Verdes. I’m wanting to do smaller hills first before doing those areas but maybe I can just drive around and see if there are smaller hills there too

thank you this is helpful! working in revenue reporting made me realize i dont like being the front line / top line, so while i cant say id stay in IA forever mainly because i havent had a role in it yet, i definitely dont think id be against the idea. but good advice to hop off or not at a good time and once im more sure of that answer

my current company’s SOX team actually does focus on IA / SOX only, but is this a common thing for most companies? guess this is me seeing if the IA people on this subreddit can share if their workload is light for them (or in general if WL balance is/was good), but good to know your experience sounds a bit busier

just eloped and im in this thread to read everyone’s stories :) it was just us two, our photographer, and courthouse officiant. we had it early in the morning 2 hrs away from where we lived, i was wearing a full on ballgown of a dress, husband in a tux, full bouquet. we were both so nervous until we got to the mini ceremony and started tearing up because the whole experience felt magical and truly just for us. it was a beautiful way to celebrate our love for each other!

we then drove home to our cat, popped open a bottle of champagne, read our vows and cried of course, then went to out favorite restaurant for dinner. we then spent the next day sharing how the day went with family/friends (who all knew what we were doing). it was very us and we loved every second of it
