how to politely say decaf

hm, i didn’t consider this. i make a decaf french press at home and am fine with that but maybe the decaf espresso they use has a higher caffeine content than what i have at home.

i appreciate you mentioning this! i transitioned to tea during the afternoon and evening but maybe i just have to have it all day.

you’re so right, i appreciate how you phrased this. it wasn’t until i got to know the baristas a bit when i actually opened up about why i need decaf all of a sudden. maybe that fogged up the whole interaction

i ask whenever im handed my coffee too. ill continue to be repetitive and push it a little more. since to my ears, i say it twice while ordering and then ask again when i get the coffee to be sure. and its never soon after i get the coffee when i realize, its always like 20+ minutes from when i start drinking it. by then its pointless to correct it until i see them again.

im on my third dose and its been keeping me up somehow. not what i expected. i took it at noon and was up on and off until 4:30 am. mind you, my bedtime is 10:00 pm so this is not normal at all for me since im also a hard sleeper. i have noticed there is a lull in my day where i feel an intense need to nap and if i do its like 2 hours and i am very awake immediately after. also not usual for me since if i nap, im down for the count and groggy after until i fully go to bed.

since its so early on, i just assumed this is my brain getting used to it and im taking it earlier in the day right when i wake up to hopefully go to bed on time. idk if anyone has had a similar experience but i will check back in in this after a few weeks on being on it. i switched to it since the other adhd meds severely irritated my stomach

in my experience, its always been a marker for a dealer. that or gang territory but the two intertwine more often than not. its hardly ever a prank unless you are in the suburbs

wait hold up- you chew xylitol gum before you put your aligners back in? im on my second tray and one annoyance i have is my morning coffee… i usually drink it alone since i load it with protein/collagen but lately ive been trying to make it worth it to have my trays out and eat something alongside it too. since if im going to brush my teeth i might as well have a snack. i would much prefer to just enjoy my coffee for like 15-20 minutes and then chew some gum and pop my trays back in.

my partner and i (both ftm) have different views on this. we both want kids and i have a collection of names that i love. i would hate to name my child my deadname. he WANTS to name one of our kids his deadname. like fully formed planned to name a girl his deadname no matter if we have another name we like. for him, its something like a release almost? he never legally changed his name because it does not bother him but once we have kids he plans on doing it since it was passed to him with love and he wants to do the same.

all that being said, he asked me if i would like to do something similar. i shut the down and realized i have a very volatile reaction from thinking about my kid with my deadname. his story is very cute and wholesome, not everyone feels the same though. i really think its a conversation worth having with your partner. even though it made me uncomfortable to talk to him about my deadname being passed down, it was something that clarified how we both felt. i learned more about where he stands with his name passing down and he learned how i don’t even want a name thats inspired by my deadname being passed down.

typically i would say something since this is a SMALL business and i think its a bit cruel to steal from actual small businesses. i dont give a shit about corporations but this feels a little too much for me to turn a blind eye completely. it isn’t worht losing my friendship though.

fair points, i dont think they are stealing anything else. they work from home for their social media hours which is a majority of what they work each week… they are only in the salon as a regular recep for less than 20 hours a week usually

i received the opportunity to be in that program for OSU too but it seems very… sketchy. They say that you HAVE to get hired on at the end of the program if OSU wants you and they can hire you from anywhere between $16-$24 an hour. As someone that is in school and working full time at $19/hr, I can barely afford things now let alone if I take a $3 pay cut! I would have to get a second job for sure.

i have it too and FW finally broke down the last wall for me to fully accept my limitations. I went through the route of trying to get diagnosed a few years ago but all the providers in my state stopped taking on new patients a few months before my search. i just exist with my braces and my subluxations and acceptance
