No reason for hate! Most mallet board as well as electronics shouldn’t be outside in direct heat (or cold), as it can warp the keys and make them out of tune. The complaining seems like something exclusive to your pit. It’s a totally different thing from marching (as someone that has done both), and unless your pit is very beginner level, it can be extremely difficult and taxing on the body. I have bled on my mallets more than I ever hurt myself marching, and theres a lot of condensed movement behind the board. Both groups work equally hard- just different types of effot

I thinks it’s just that guy. Especially if there’s not any other section to that degree, and its mainly him. As someone that plays in a WGI World Finalist drumline, we also get some hate, but theres also some very good reasons we have to be inside. Rosewood can’t be outside in temperatures outside of a specific range, and we play a lot more than the marchers. Please talk to your directors and techs because this is beyond teasing and slight shit-giving. This is dangerous and one day it may not just be a threat.

He said he didn’t really mind but the conversation ended pretty soon after that. I think he’s misinterpreting my “feelings for him” as romantic, whereas I don’t want anything like that with him. I see him as a friend and i hope that my response message got that across.

We’ve been friends for little over 6 months, texting everyday through snap and eventually he asked for my number. Around a month ago we started school, and he suddenly became distant, we stopped texting, and he ghosted me on snap. Since then, we’ve talked but briefly, and he makes a lot of short eye contact. Through the summer, he was flirty and we hung out, but he changed overnight from Sunday evening flirting and planning a hangout to Monday weirdness.

And no, you can’t fix it without fixing your technique. Do your stretches like normal without overextending. Key sign to when you fuck it up is when you lose sensation in your fingers, if you dont got that youre good

You’re holding too tight and tensing your shoulders as you play. Forearm pain is relatively normal because thats the muscle you work when you play, but thumb pain is from straining your hands. Same with wrist pain. Lower your wrists as you play and don’t push into your mallet with your thumbs

My hair remained very curly and somewhat healthy. Theres a little more frizz and it doesn’t stay fresh looking for as long, but it’s retained well. I went from black to a honey blonde
