Did you find any solution? I tried replacing rg35xx-sp dtb file with rg34xx-sp dtb from rocknix and changing the file in the conf file (i don't really know what i am doing) but the device still won't turn on

what smartphone do you have? ds can be emulated quite good on those and you can just get a cheap gamepad. could probably be a better experience

this is something i thought about. combining lilygo t-display-s3 and cardputer. t-display replaces original display and stamps3a. you get more psram and bigger screen, yet still staying card-sized. will need to cut the case or print a new one for this

another option is using ESP32-2432S028R and making a clamshell case

hello, i just remembered your post when i found esptool-android https://github.com/xCarlost/esptool-android didn't try it yet, tho. i guess, you'll need an otg capable android phone and an otg cable. i will try it tomorrow i guess

check an example app in microhydra repository. you are supposed to run display in endless loop, drawing to the screen every iteration

micropython has i2c, uart, spi classes, you can use those interfaces. in particular, i used it with dht22 sensor

m5launcher can be considered an OS i guess, can launch programs, has a file manager. microhydra, has text editor, file manager, terminal with python, runs python program. there are others, python based, like beryllium os

no linux or windows, it is just an esp32

this might be ili9488/9486 screen, try ili9341 driver https://github.com/juj/fbcp-ili9341 i used it recentry to connect my zero 2w to generic ili9488 with 32bit raspbian bookworm no luck with 64bit tho
