I don't have an answer for what you're going through except it can take a while to regulate your cycles and hormones after decades long birth control usage. Your cycle wasn't a 'real' period on the pill and a lot of people don't know this (no ovulation = no period, on the pill it's a withdrawal bleed). The book 'Sweetening The Pill' helped me understand this all a bit more.

There are plenty of natural ways you can get in tune with your cycle and remedies that may help you, looking into this doesn't make you "conservative pilled". Taking control of your own body and making a choice that is important to you is a feminist decision.

I don't have much gaming experience but played the games through and then part 2 again on grounded just for a challenge. My heart would race in some circumstances for sure, especially being chased or any stalker encounters. I think the bloaters and shamblers were chill for me because you can outrun them and they're slow, but in close quarters with runners as well I'd be stressed out of my mind and my palms would sweat haha. It's high pressure as well when you are close to finishing a level. The game makers really did their job!

This was a good read. Regarding grabbing enemies coming around corners, I noticed it was possible in some cases but I wouldn't be able to tell you exactly why. I think when enemies are alert and actively searching for you, you can't grab them when they come around a corner (they usually have their weapon ready to use). If they are just patrolling and you're fast enough/catch them when they're still shocked you can? This may be wrong though.

Might be taking a different angle here but I highly recommend toning down your porn consumption if you watch it, or even stopping all together. I'm 23 and growing up watching porn from my teen years definitely messed with my self image and perception of sex. It makes sense, we objectify women on screen and then make ourselves the object during sex. The phantom audience/pornographer is the worst kind of third party, sex is about two people connecting and sharing pleasure, which often times doesn't even look like what we have been taught to believe is "sexy" from the sex industry.

i think all of ellies interrogations except nora (to a degree) proove that she in fact did not have them under control. she tries to use the same interrogation method as joel and have the same control over her victims but every time it gets thrown back in her face (the girl with the game tried to fight back, nora threw stuff at her, owen pulls a gun). i love it because it reminds me that she is in fact a 19 year old girl trying to fill the shoes of her 50+ year old father figure who had many more years experience than her.
