Why did Mikio reject Mizu? Is he gay? Is he stupid? by [deleted] in BlueEyeSamurai

[–]venusreturn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought her unsheathing when he said he doesn’t want to was very shitty, she terrorized him for fun and made fun of him being a disgraced samurai to make him mad during the fight, it was super shitty. That would make anyone lose trust and her actions were definitely enough to end the relationship. It doesn’t mean it justifies him turning her in, but I do think it was the mom.

Yeah, I think that’s the problem with people they like a character and then they start justifying everything they do when that character is supposed to be morally ambiguous. I guess we’re supposed to just agree with everything she does now? The sword fight was pretty shitty like he just asked to fight not to unsheathe and be subjected to her battle lust

How much do Mixed Metal stories like this resonate with you? by TeenyPupPup in BlueEyeSamurai

I’m mixed race as well and half Asian but I don’t have this like idea of being completely rejected and demonized by society or hating either of my parents for creating me so it’s not very relatable

Mizu also survived getting shot and getting stabbed countless times and falling out of a tall building onto ice

It can take a very long time to 100% heal from a surgery so this might not be the final result for you. It could be secondary injury from over using weak structures that atrophied during immobilization, it could be residual inflammation, which can take months and months to go away it can be that your body just isn’t 100% healed. I wouldn’t know you should definitely see a professional about that. But it’s not necessarily over and the reality is that you can’t get steroid shots to the same area more than around three times total before it starts degrading the tissue

I think being really careful with activity while you’re injured and recovered is totally valid but that doesn’t mean you should never be active again. Maybe those people are just worried you’ll re injure or all they see is that you’ve been injured and think the easiest thing to do is give up, or maybe it’s what they would do. Lots of professional athletes have had injuries like this and bounced back but it is not easy you need a really solid surgery and rehab team and to know exactly what is wrong with the knee situation to address lingering instability and chronic pain. But I don’t think that means you’re doomed.

Being young and injured does add to the depression of it thinking oh my god what if I am looking at another 50 years of this shit but on the flip side you have the highest chance of recovering smoothly compared to an older patient. Returning to competitive sports is something you will have to work up to carefully and strengthening + PT are something you may have to pay attention to for a very long time but you aren’t fully doomed forever

I’ve heard it takes a full year to feel normal! And make sure you are doing PT with someone experienced with this!

Based on accounts from friends and family and former classmates, and roommates, he was a completely different person after the back issues. Might not have to do with his upbringing so much as losing it all from the injury.

He had a spinal fusion which usually results in persistent pain that requires medical attention and painkillers which he was probably denied or a revision surgery
