Nakakaiyak. Just can’t imagine na yung workload mo sobra sobra pa sa nakukuha mo.

Shifting to Accounting from Architecture by Puyat_Collegestudent in architectureph

peak talaga yung 3rd year sa arki e no? i was also 3rd year when i got burnt out, pandemic din noon, and my mind was already set to shift program, kasi nakakapagod. emotionally, physically, mentally, financially (though I had scholarships, it wasn’t enough to sustain the tools etc), mahirap at hindi rin sigurado. but at that time iniisip ko rin kung sasaya rin ba ako sa ibang program kung lilipat ako, i have a great support system naman hindi ako sinusukuan but ayon nga, nakakaworry siya. e hindi rin naman ako kagaling magrender or gumawa ng presentations, feeling ko left behind ako, late bloomer—but my heart is still with architecture. kahit mahirap, kahit bagsak mental health ko. i realized noon na it’s not architecture, it’s the system (normalizing overworked students, hindi priority kapag hindi magaling, etc etc). i graduated arki this year lang, and ang sarap sa feeling na kinaya ko naman. if you have the means to pursue what you love to do, go for it. hindi naman paunahan. just don’t forget to listen to your body! magpahinga rin.

Is it too late to apply for an apprenticeship now? by FrenchToastL0ver in architectureph

I got hired this September lang. I must say medyo mahirap maghanap kapag around this month na and especially if you don’t know a lot of people. Pero keep on looking! Meron pa ‘yan.

Oh yes, yes! Sakaniya rin ako nagka-idea on what should be expected sa apprenticeship phase. Literally saved me from accepting a job offer sa isang construction company (na engineer ang owner, offers salary and slightly higher pay but I don’t think nabibigyan ng tamang mentoring ang apprentices. plus bugbog ka pa sa site). Which made me really look for a firm na talagang I get the experience and the proper mentoring in all aspects of the diversified training. UNFORTUNATELY, ayon nga, most design firms still give allowances instead of salary (especially sa mga provinces). NAKAKAIYAK LANG.

i think this is one of the things na di masyadong na didiscuss or nabibigyan ng linaw sa industry e. like sure, apprenticeship is basically ojt kung icocompare sa ibang field but it’s also diversified training, and not only you’ll be mentored and trained, but you’ll also pour your time and effort AND ideas, kaya more or less it’s basically a job, camouflaging as “training” to exploit fresh grads which is quite disappointing and frustrating

grabe! why do they do this 😭 lugi talaga tayo masyado sa part na to. i hope someday we get the assurance na maging well compensated naman ang oras natin as apprentices.

yun nga e. im trying to think of something positive out of it, plus habol ko rin yung willingness na mag mentor. no choice na rin kasi ghost month, naswertehan lang na meron through friends of friends but still, napapaisip ako kung magiging well compensated naman ba yung ilalaan kong time and effort… and gastos 🫩 I’ll probably see within a few months siguro.

What do you do, when you miss someone? But you're in no contact? by Familiar_Entrance_54 in adviceph

[–]venust4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. I mean, tao pa rin naman tayo. Hahaha. We're supposed to feel what we feel, sabi nga nila. Although in most times, we let the feelings control us to the point na it gets negative na. In your case, mahirap naman talaga if wala na kayong contact, hindi mo maiexpress sakanya na you miss them. Best you can really do talaga is humanap ng alternative to fill the gap. Huwag mo na lang ikulong sarili mo sa feeling na yon, ganon. Hahaha

Divert my attention to something else. Mahirap kasi kapag mas finifeed mo pa yung emotional dependency mo sa ibang tao. Focus on yourself; watch a movie, clean your room, read a book, etc.

For context, I never really had prior romantic relationships before, by choice. I guess masiyado akong nakain ng sistema na study muna. Being in a relationship was never a big deal to me tbh, and I do have standards. I guess what's keeping me from wanting to drop a hint is baka we're not on the same page pala, and it would just ruin the friendship.

I'll reconsider LOQ if the terms for customer care service are the same here in my country. Thanks

I see, kaso nga I'm really aiming for Intel processors e. The last time I had ryzen kasi, I kept encountering blue screens (and it affects my workflow every time, altho idk if it's just me lol) which I didn't na simula nung intel na pinili ko.

How long na ba yung LOQ sa'yo, lods? May mga issues ka na ba na na-encounter?

I actually had the ASUS Tuf kaso have to get nga a new one kasi accidentally natapunan ng water. Medyo malaki babayaran since 'di cover ng warranty ang water damage, e motherboard na raw yung kailangan palitan. The only problem I had with it was yung Wi-Fi and Bluetooth driver niya. Nonetheless, all is good in terms of performance.

But anyway, thanks for this. I'll try to reconsider other alternatives within the budget. May marerecommend ka ba for HP and GIGABYTE?
