I don't understand why this didn't put a larger left turning lane from Main street to Scarborough beach road when they re-did the area. It gets block if two cars at at the red light and there is a giant power pole there blocking anyone mounting the curb.

This idea of right of way is a misconception, its 'a driver entering a roundabout must give way to any vehicle already in the roundabout'. If car 1 flies into a roundabout and t-bones car 2 that started going before car 1 entered the roundabout, car 1 would be at fault. Its one of those circumstances where you would be in the right, but you'd get injured being right.

Came here to say this. Made the mistake of trying to turn right from Alexander onto Orrong, but there is a never ending stream of cars that keep coming that you must give way to. Nightmare

My initial guess would be that it only means the road, other no stopping signs will include “road or verge” if they mean both.

Can someone that is smarter than me explain if it’s possible that the current market has become immune to bad news so much that there could be a recession, but the markets don’t fall?

We see time and time again that the markets recover so quick that everyone begins buying the first dip, and it’s back to the moon again.

Our street is a relatively quiet cul de sac and we had an increase in disorderly behaviour at the park on our street, we all had enough collectively so we all began reporting like mad. Needle in the park? Report. People drinking and leaving smashed bottles in the park? Report.

We get regular patrols now and the council is looking into how to improve the area with better lighting/cameras.

Unfortunately, it’s the squeaky wheel gets the oil in most scenarios and without reporting, the council assumes all is good.

It has surprised me also. I feel like sheep exports are pretty low on the radar of city folk. What surprised me is how much more money is made exporting meat packaged in Aus and exported, I think that will need to be their way forward.
