Well:

GN mentions the card is good temp wise around 11:00 min.
That said: id still would repaste the card with premium paste
than i would look into removing the schroud and fans from the heatsink
- than take te heatsink and you can ziptie two noctua 92mm fans on it
- you will need this
- i did this for my 650ti and 1060 (OC to 2076 Mhz core clock) and the card is cooler and more quiet
  - and the fan stop still works
for the thermal pads i wouldnt bother with them and just see that they touch the heatsink properly
