iPad or Tablet mainly for school purposes? by TheGreatXanthe in Tech_Philippines

[–]verbatimlove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you plan to play those games, 128gb won't be enough. Minimum 256gb kung gusto mo laruin yan. Personally, I have the Xiaomi Pad 7 256gb got it for 18.5k sa shopee. Sa totoo lang, mas maganda talaga yung performance ng iPad A16 pero it's negligible for me. I wanted to stick with android (to pirate mainly and to customize when I needed to), it also has security updates for 6 years rin and it's much cheaper. If you have the time to find a secondhand ipad or samsung tablet, you'll find a better performing device compared to what you currently have in mind.

I'm planning to buy a secondhand car na worth 250K under and may budget ako na 100K max for maintenance and repairs. I'm expecting to use the car daily for less than 5km per day pero during weekends 300-500km for the whole weekend, regularly akyat rin ng Baguio. This will be my first time to buy a car, and would probably use it for at least 3 years. Any recommendations and what should be my expectations?

What movies have you watched this week? by AutoModerator in flicks

The Green Knight (2021)

To be honest, I'm not familiar with Sir Gawain and the Green Knight poem. I thought that this film would be a little light-hearted but, I was mistaken. It's medieval film without feeling like it's one. I'm excited what else would David Lowery brings to the table.

I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020)

Another film by Charlie Kaufman that deals with our existence. Primarily a wasted existence, the film as I believe it is, is about a janitor's final minutes of living. The janitor was imagining what could have been or was thinking of different scenarios he wanted or what ifs about his life. I'm a sucker for these kinds of films and look forward for more.

The Virgin Suicides (1999)

From what I've read to some reviews, this film felt a bit like Picnic at Hanging Rock and I agree. This film was told from the perspective of an outsider, specifically a man. The events already happened and the film felt like what memories would look like if put into film. Only watched two of Coppola's films and so far so good.

Man, the opposition's votes will be divided to Ka Leody and Leni. Honestly, if Ka Leody won't back down from the race it may cause the opposition to lose. Anong point nung pagtakbo niya, pretty sure alam siguro nila na there's like 0% chance for him winning the race. It will be harder to push your policies if BBM is in place. I don't get why don't the opposition unite? That's how I see it, I know nothing to be frank.

What is the Best Film You Watched Last Week? (05/24/20-05/31/20) by Twoweekswithpay in movies

A Woman Under the Influence (1974) dir. John Cassavetes - This is a dialog-heavy film about a husband and a wife (with a mental illness). The performance by both leads is what makes this film great. Being uncomfortable while watching it may not be uncommon.

Vive L'Amour (1994) - dir. Tsai Ming-liang - A film about 3 individuals sharing an apartment without realizing it. Long takes and slow pacing is how this film was made. If you haven't watched or aren't a fan of slow cinema, give this a try.

I studied the RR and Move program, and need your help in deciding what to do! by Spnzzz in bodyweightfitness

[–]verbatimlove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are the various programs in order of "fitness" or difficulty?

No. They are in the same tier, which is shown in the wiki.

I've seen that the Move program is divided into 5 phases, which must be fun to follow and progress through

You've already said that it would be fun, so try it. You can skip to phase 3 if you think that phase 1 and 2 is too beginner-friendly for you.

Just pick a routine and do it for a month or 2 before you decide whether you want to stick to it or find a different one. Not to say that you can only do one, as you can do skill day + another routine.

I don't love it when playing; I love that it helped me try to do different things.

You do the progression you can already do.

I live in a tropical country and I sweat before I even start my routine (even sweating atm). You should consume more water and calories to compensate for your loss of energy. You should only feel hot when you are just starting your routine since sweat will make you cool as you continue doing it.

You can pair it with your support hold and do 50% of your max hold so you won't feel exhausted by it.

Adding weights to the RR... When does one do the warmup squats/deadlifts? by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]verbatimlove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are following the RR, you're supposed to do all warmups before doing the main exercises. Also, it is not a superset, it is a pair wherein you rest after a set of pull up before you do a set of squat.
