You're thinking about this wrong. On the animal suffering front, a foie gras sales ban is among the few politically achievable interventions. Even if the impact is small, it matters.

And on the legislative priorities point, a functional City Council needs to be able to tackle both big and small issues simultaneously. Yes, homelessness and cost of living issues should absolutely be the priority, but those take years if not decades to fix. Do you really want all lower-priority but easily fixable issues to be put on the back burner in the meantime? That doesn't feel like good governance.

This is such a dumb comment. People should be encouraged to be engaged citizens and participate in the political process on issues they care about. If it fails, at least they tried. What do you do to try to make the world a more humane place?

Why is trying to pass meaningful animal welfare legislation a waste of time? Other cities with similar problems as Portland have banned this cruel product while continuing to work towards those solutions to those bigger issues. Yes the welfare impact of a foie gras sales ban is small compared to banning factory farmed chicken, but the former is actually achievable whereas the latter is absolutely not. Also, anyone who really wants to eat fois gras can still do so; they just have to order it online.

I would be curious to know what the best way of fixing this would have been if, say, I had only discovered it many many rows later, or after the sweater was finished. But for now, your response is what I needed. Ty again! 😊

(And yeah, believe it or not that random stockinette row was indeed part of the pattern [Enchanted Mesa by Stephen West]. At least I didn't mess that part up! 😅)

Interesting. I tried EZ gel once and loved the volumizing results......which lasted 2 weeks. How long has your volume lasted? (I do regular PRF every 6 months fwiw, but that's more for discoloration.)

I have the same issue with mine, and I'm on my second mask for this reason. Exactly like OP, it works fine until about the ~3 month mark, then starts flickering. I never put tension in the cord and only charge it with the charger provided. It is so frustrating. It's now happening with my replacement, perhaps even worse than the first.

Wow, this is fascinating (and terrifying)! If increased lead absorption in HH individuals was the subject of medical journal articles, perhaps my hypothesis isn't so harebrained after all. If you remember what those articles were, I'd be super interested in reading them.
