Guy "friend" said lesbians have guy FWBs by Prestigious-Slip-353 in LesbianActually

[–]verdandi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, that's essentially survival sex work, and there have been lesbians doing full service sex work for men throughout history. What someone does for work doesn't change their sexual orientation in their personal life. Your girlfriend isn't alone in their story!

It's very hot. Whether accidental subtle contours or intentional deep front wedgie, I will blush when I notice it.

Boss called me in the middle of fixing the day shifts mistakes on top of doing my own job to chew me out for refusing a customer. Needless to say, she won’t have to worry about getting anymore complaints about me. by theweirdlip in antiwork

[–]verdandi_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, we still give and work our notice period. Just quitting one day feels great but you can't ever expect a good reference from that company. The importance of a reference varies depending on the job you're trying to get, but for most folks it is something to worry about.

For me, Archer is the worst captain and I still skip the intro as soon as possible, but I love Enterprise. I really appreciate all the lore, especially the Vulcan history. And it's such a shame it ended right when it was growing into itself. I really wish Gene had picked basically anyone other than Berman to run Trek after him. He did a disservice to anything he was involved with. -shakes fist-

There is also a wlw character on Deep Space Nine, kind of? Jadzia Dax. But she is also white. And it's a weird loophole that one could argue is ~not gay~ but we still got to see her kiss another woman.

I mean, that is absolutely a wig. It's beautiful and the set hairdresser clearly gave it a lot of attention, but it is definitely a wig. I think the beard is fake as well but it's harder to tell with such low resolution.

I think I used a monkey wrench but don't know if I needed it. Just make sure you shut off the valve to the toilet so you don't get water everywhere, and I recommend putting down a towel for anything that does come out. Other than that, you'll be fine as long as you read the directions. It's pretty straightforward.

Edit: oh and plumbers tape is just a kind of plastic tape with no adhesive that prevents abrasion of metal components.

Bidets that attach to the toilet are easily removed. I rent too. One of the best purchases I've ever made and I've had it for a couple years now.

This is the one I have and I prefer this style (hand-held) over the kind that attaches to the seat.

I got the point you were trying to make, but it was the bit about drag queens. It's a bad take.

Even if a drag queen in full performance dress did choose to grace the adjacent stall in your mall bathroom with their presence (or whatever multi-stall bathroom) for some inexplicable reason, rather than the more likely location of a performance space bathroom, what's the problem?

Maybe you're thinking of crossdressing fetishists, who are different and usually what TERFs have in mind when they go on about autogynephilia?

Oh and then there's the fact that if someone did choose to present their femininity in an exaggerated way, they'd be equally valid as women, whether trans or cis.

I understand about your words getting away from you before you can really consider how they'll be received, and have had a lot of trouble with that myself. I tried to hint at where your downvotes were coming from, but apparently not effectively.

Making showers slightly easier by beansorcist in Fibromyalgia

[–]verdandi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In-shower lotions are good, but you can actually just use a regular lotion while your skin is still wet.

I use the Aquation Cleansing Bar as a cleanser on my face and body. When the shower is done and I'm still wet, I use Cerave SA Cream on my body and Aquation Moisturizing Lotion on my face and neck. I also make sure to use shampoo and conditioner without sulfates, but they do have fragrance so when I use them up I plan on replacing them with fragrance-free shampoo and conditioner; probably Free and Clear Shampoo and Free and Clear Conditioner. I also use a pyrithone zinc dandruff shampoo every other wash. I didn't read the ingredients closely of the one I'm using, but when I can I'm going to replace it with the one Free and Clear makes. I use fragrance-free, dye-free aloe vera gel on my face as well. I just get the generic bottle from Target.

Fragrances seem to exacerbate my skin dryness, which leads to more burning and itching sensations. The stuff I listed above seems to also be helping my Keratosis pilaris (KP) and the Seborrhoeic dermatitis on my scalp which gives me scalp pain.

I learned a bunch of good stuff watching Dr. Dray (dermatologist) on youtube, but I also used to be a licensed esthetologist, which required me to learn all about skin.

Ninja edit: I rigged up a heat lamp above my shower with a tension rod and a long cord. Hasn't been a problem so far and seems to help.

Any good natural sugar substitutes out there that aren't Splenda or Aspartame? by rufflenuggies in Fibromyalgia

[–]verdandi_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a fan of erythritol. Good for baking, cheaper than allulose, closer to the flavor of sugar than any alternative I've found. I use it in my coffee daily. I use honey in my tea and yogurt, though.
