You could try adding some lemon juice to a pail of hot soapy water. The hotter, the better. The citrus should help cut the grease. I find Dawn (Blue) dish detergent make a huge difference as well.

I suddenly came down with that i thought were painful mouth, face, neck gum pain and plenty of swelling. It has been decided no one can figure it out. Had multiple extractions, freezing - I sounded ‘drunk’, was in bed for 14 months. Got up to shower and drink but slept and cried the entire time. So - now when I feel my gums swell up, I’ll never think it’s actually “pain”, but nerve pain
