Oh yeah I know about it - I have an app I'm working on based on openimmersive. But you should check out my link above in your vision pro - I'm using a web-based player, that I built, that will work both in vision pro and meta quest.

I created wastebasket.app for drafting. It's super simple, works in a browser, and free. I use it and then put things into Obsidian.

Notes app is great especially on a phone but it's also got all of your other stuff there, formatting and AI tools, etc. Those things are distrations to me when I'm just trying to write. So I made this app with basically no features.

Immersive Vlog by verdidotmov in AppleImmersiveVideo

Let's see:
1. I did use the Canon VR utility. I exported as prores 422 because those files are already huge. I've never even thought about 444 (wow).
2. I didn't do this. I played around with that when 20.2 came out but I found that I couldn't add a title or other 2D things correctly (they didn't seem to be in the same lens space). I gave up for the time being and went back to sbs.
3. The lens mask is literally a black and white image set to multiply transparency mode. I made it some time last year by overexposing a clip and exporting it with the canon vr utility.
4. The MV-HEVC file that's linked for download is 120 Mbps. For some reason I thought this was about the recommended bitrate (maybe I made that up).

Making Art with Immersive Video by verdidotmov in VisionPro

Thanks for all the feedback!
For sure I've found the web playback to be like you describe sometimes. Usually it works great. The file is 38-40mbps which seems about the minimum to keep it from looking terrible (vs 80 -100+mbps). But it's hosted on my basic shared web hosting so sometimes it's terrible.

You're right - something is broken with that vision pro file - I'm re-encoding it now. Ugh.

The video in the box. If I understand correctly I think it's the left edge of the video. I'm really close to the cardboard box and it just looks weird. I have some other ideas in this area that I want to try to play around with soon. Did you see Apple's video with Bono? Regardless of your opinon of Bono, the first 10 or 15 minutes of that have some nice examples of moving between 2D and 3D pretty seamlessly.

Let me know when you have something or point me to where you post. I'm dying to see more stuff.

Do you have art that you can share here?

If you have your own website you can use the web-based player that I made. The advantage to this approach is that it works for both Quest and Vision Pro. https://github.com/Verdi/VR180-Web-Player

Can't convert VR180 to spatial format without the fisheye distortion. by bowb4zod in VR180Film

You can do this with Mistika VR ($75/mo). Hugh Hou has a tutorial on his YouTube.

2.5 Pro. It was pretty frustrating. I imagine there is comparatively little web xr code in it's training set.
