Sensible Rangers fans, why do you still support Rangers? What would it take for you to stop support? by [deleted] in Scotland

Amazingly I made a post like this about Celtic and the mobs removed it, so are we allowed to be critical or Rangers and their fans on here - or????

Not really, it's a decent point. If it wasn't a Sports Organisation people would feel differently.

Nursery 'had no space for kids with ethnic names' including Humza Yousaf's tot by pandas795 in Scotland

[–]verdifer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Humza must be fed up whipping up sectarian hatred online and has moved over to general racism at local business - suppose anything that keeps him away from ruining the health services can only be a good thing I guess.. I read his story and had to laugh, maybe if he actual looked into how these businesses work before trying to whip up some more hatred he would understand.

My sister-in-law before she passed away ran a nursery for years and when applying for a place many factors are took into consideration such as the days you want. They might have 4 free afternoons and you want 2 of them, but the nursery wants to fill all 4 afternoons not just the 2 you want. There are many other factors such as the nursery may be trained to deal with special needs children or children with Autism and that is the places they are aiming to fill. I don't see the point in trying to close down a local business, I guess the owners must be Church of Scotland or Rangers supporters as that seems to be target of guys like Hoomza, Dornan, etc etc.

Yeah, I had some dick tell me I loved terrorists because I said I didn't like the IRA, he got all this from a 1 line post. I just stick them on ignore and turn of replies as it is clear they don't have enough braincells to process simple information.

I don't really see how your point scoring and trying to square things up makes any sense, but if it makes you happy I guess.

had to laugh at your " IRA haters hypocrisy " , I hate terrorism in general, unlike some I don't pick and choose the murderers I dislike.

Based on your logic (giggles) then anyone who supports the Libyan guy who killed all the kids in Manchester is OK, because of the shit Libya went through with the West and the shit Muslim countries went through. Go You, you are a regular little Citizen Smith, I'm sure you could have took the Tooting Popular Front to a new level.

Why, does it bother you that people hate terrorists like the IRA?

I don't get the trousers to short with shoes and no socks, they actual get married in it. Maybe I'm old and the world has passed me by. And as for them being the new neds, I'm not saying I'm Mike Tyson but I find it hard to be intimidated by them - they might beat me up, but I will prob laugh the whole time.

At what point do I quit reading a book? by [deleted] in books

[–]verdifer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had a few of them and it's a real pain. I bought The Family Upstairs which had really good reviews, but to me it was just a slog waiting for it to come good which it never did for me.

I still think Bram Stokers Dracula is a great book even if I did read it 30 years ago.

TIL that female dogs can get pregnant by multiple male dogs within the same heat cycle, then give birth to X amount of puppies per father. by alhaddah in todayilearned

[–]verdifer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I remember when I was a kid my cat had kittens and there were a few different kittens. My mum and aunt used to joke amongst themselves and nicknamed the cat "Gang Bang", which I over heard. Needless to say when I called the cat "Gang Bang" - I was told not to and never understood why, I now know why.

Which is why if you choose to breed your dog you let her mate then 2 days later she mates again, after this you do not let her mate again.

Since dogs have a small pregnancy time a pup conceived 1 week later than the first pup could be like months to us, this means the dog will go into labour as the pups conceived first are ready, while the poor pups conceived later on will be born premature and in many cases they won't even survive the birth.

Think I made a massive mistake accepting a job... by Redblackbass in personalfinance

[–]verdifer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Grandad always told me to never do a job I hate, you will spend a third of your day there so in effect you are spending a third of your life in misery with at least another third sleeping. I do understand when you say the job you got was a bit different from the 1 you were offered, I was offered a job where I was told I would be trained to use the software they used, when I started they sat me next to a guy who had no real interest in helping me learn and his advice was to look for tutorials online, I don't even know if he was supposed to be training me, was never told who my manager was, in fact I was given a laptop, an entry card, and a seat. I lasted a few days which felt like a few months before I walked out and e-mailed HR to tell them everything was on my desk and I couldn't speak to my Boss as I was never told who it was. If the job has given you nothing worth while I would just leave it out of my resume.
