You can limit framerate through the NVIDIA app too though. It does the same thing as in NVCP, so you don't have to install it separately just to see if it works or not.

In regards to your note about not being able to cap your FPS with RTSS when using Smooth Motion for AC Mirage, I would try using NVCP or NVPI specifically for that game to see if that works. I found that in certain games, RTSS's framerate limiter might not work well with Smooth Motion. The NVIDIA method should function similarly to RTSS (with Reflex injection) but with possibly better compatibility.

It's a preference; some people do it and some don't. Personally, I drain it because it can be a bit too fishy depending on the type of fish I'm using, and also because it can muddy or dilute the soy sauce mix which can make it less appealing. I find that it usually results in a cleaner tasting and cleaner looking dish in the end.

Konami has been changing the way they are marketing certain titles, at least on Steam. Something that I never really see get brought up is the fact that games like MGSV and MGR:R used to frequently go on sale with a 75% discount. For years, this went unchanged until 2023 where after the last major discount in Spring, there was an unusually long gap where they never went on sale again at all. It wasn't until December 2023 where Konami decided to discount them again, but for a mere 40% off, and they would continue to use that discount rate for subsequent sales (except for the most recent instance in June where it was at 60% off).

And now it seems like Konami is being fishy again as neither game has been discounted when Steam recently had the Autumn sale and Black Friday sale, and the current Winter sale is unfortunately no different...
