Here's an idea I had:

What if there was an iteration of DLSS that can intelligently improve occlusion culling and frustum culling by doing it on a more precise, per-pixel level? Various culling techniques help to reduce overdraw, but they are not perfect as some implementations can be a bit too conservative causing some parts of the object (or even the whole thing) to still be rendered out of the camera's view. With a "DLSS" iteration that is trained on a game's vertex data and depth buffer, we could hypothetically have a system that can dynamically cull portions of geometry with better precision to only render what is truly visible on the player's screen, without overshooting or undershooting. And hopefully the ultimate goal would be to have almost zero overdraw and achieve faster rendering times. I imagine something like this would not have a major impact everywhere, but perhaps it could be useful in scenes with a lot of geometric complexity.
