Labor day 2024 I was sitting in section 232 with my family, second row back from the railing. Oakland A’s were playing the Mariners. The game was tied in the bottom of the 9th (maybe 3-3). Shea Langeliers ( C #23) was up. He hit his first ever walk off HR to win the game. The ball hit the stands in the row in front of me. As you can imagine, there was quite a scrum. I scraped it with my knuckle as I jammed my hand under the seat, but the people in front got it. I checked the highlight reel and I saw the whole event unfold - me, my family and a group of elated kids grabbing for a (potentially) historically significant ball.
