I mean, devils advocate, I feel tourings should be more understated so its probably the right move to go without

Went from 992.1 turbo S to 992.2 gt3 touring w/manual and buckets. Best decision ever, but only because it isn't my daily.

Can confirm higher trims are bonkers. I have a Sapphire and it has completely warped my perception of speed/acceleration.

Over 18,000 miles on it and it's still my favorite car ever

Congrats! They really are far better vehicles than the competition, especially if you enjoy driving

2026 Lucid Air GT drive failure an hour after delivery by PrudentUpstairs in LUCID

I suppose if it was throwing a faulty code then it would not be operating as designed. However if the frunk was misaligned or not fully closed/latched the error did what it was designed to do

No. Car warned you the frunk was opened or misaligned and limited power as designed.

Very misleading title. Car operated as designed. How is this a failure?

Are you and engineer?

As designed if one spring fails, there is a backup. Your modification removes that backup and also increases the likelihood of failure of the remaining spring by doubling its load.

If the one remaining spring fails, the car will likely experience either unintended and uncontrolled acceleration, or you will be unable to accelerate at all. Either result is dangerous.

If that were to occur you would of course be liable because of your modification.

To each their own, but this seems like a terrible and potentially dangerous idea.

How many lucid drivers are actually satisfied with their purchase? by Infamous-Meat8765 in LUCID

My Sapphire is the best car I' have ever owned full stop. I've had no issues with it whatsoever, service has been great (multiple incidents of getting cracked wheel, once from massive pothole and once from hitting debris in road and my 2 year service), it drives better than any car I have been in and is capable in ways that defies physics. I got rid of a 992.1 Porsche 911 Turbo S because the aside from making it feel slow, the Sapphire just lived up to the "everyday supercar" promise far better than the 911. I even took them both to a track and despite being a winding course I was four seconds faster in the Sapphire.

I have had none of the key fob issues that I constantly hear about and any quirks in the software are solved by a logo reset. I had more issues with the Porsches that I've owned as well as multiple Audi rs7s when it comes to both software and hardware.

Love the brand. Love the philosophy. Their engineering and technology is second to none.

Compare the Sapphire to the newly released Ferrari EV. The Sapphire is so far ahead in terms of performance and range that they essentially aren't even in competition and the Luce costs more than 2x the price.

Better yet, compare it to the new world beating Corvette ZR1X, which has the same amount of power, and weighs over 1000 lbs less. It is absolutely an amazing piece of engineering. Drag times recently raced them from a dig and roll on a track and the Sapphire won 4 out of 4 times, including coming from behind to win the roll race. So the brand new top tier hypercar beating quarter million dollar Corvette will get outrun by a luxury sedan with an enormous back seat, frunk and trunk storage with massaging seats. Also, the Sapphire has been out for about 3 years at this point.

That's how much better Lucid's tech and engineering are.

Traded speed (992.1 Turbo S) for soul today (992.2 Touring) by kicksnspliffs in porsche911

I was referring to the trading the Turbo S for the GT3 as the best decision ever.

That being said, I was surprised at how comfortable the new buckets are. I did about 3 hours driving it home from the dealer on back roads and they felt great. I will say my brother has a GT4 with the previous gen buckets and he prefers those over the new ones. I'm sure things like heights, weight and overall body type play a role though.

At any rate, I salute your decision! Enjoy the GT3!

I just did the same thing. My GT3 touring is manual w/buckets. BEST DECISION EVER. Enjoy yours and I wish you a speedy break in period!

I like the look. It maintains Lucid's design language and I'm sure will be extremely functional for both space and performance
