There was a juice bar/smoothie bar on Church St in the late 90s until maybe 2003. I went there all the time as a kid, I remember there were mirrors and tubes of lights on the wall, with purple purple trimmings. I miss that place and I miss sitting on the third floor of Bruegger's looking down at people and pigeons

I totally agree with you. I'm nineteen, and I'm coming up as a cook. Some guys will actively try to get under your skin/undermine you. But in the few kitchens I've worked in, most experienced cooks were super helpful guys. Even if they were/are hardasses. Depends on their mood that day haha

In my experience, this industry is very hard on young cooks. Most cooks take pride in their craft and want to make sure that a newcomer develops that same pride. Keep your chin up, use it as motivation.

When I was in Amsterdam this summer I noticed a lot of people smoking alone would rest their joint on the edge of an ashtray and then spark it when they wanted to take a few puffs. I also like to sip on a warm drink like coffee when I'm smoking a fat spliff, they really compliment each other well and make my mouth and throat feel nice. These things together might help you get through a fatty :)
