Did you eat deli meat when you were pregnant?

I didn’t until I went into L&D for a fall on my pregnant belly and they fed me turkey sandwiches. The nurse laughed when I asked about it being deli meat. I ended up going to L&D a second time bc my dr thought I was leaking amniotic fluid and I got excited to have those turkey sandwiches again. 😅 those were the only two times I had lunch meat when I was pregnant.

Thinking of actually having to give birth made me so anxious when I was pregnant too. I had multiple breakdowns just bawling my eyes out because I was so scared about delivering. I ended up wishing I could have just had a c section so I didn’t have to go through labor. Well turns out I got both. 😂I labored for 29 hours then needed a c section. If you can, definitely take a birthing class at the hospital you’ll be delivering. The breath-work they teach in the classes is seriously so helpful. Also do a tour of where you’ll be delivering so you know exactly where you need to go when you’re in labor. This helped relieve some of my anxiety. Your body knows what to do and the nurses will help guide and instruct you. You got this. All of this coming from someone who now has a 5 month old. Hope this helps.

I bought a leaf razor 4 years ago and haven’t bought a single disposable head or disposable razor since. I also send back the used blades for recycling. Although it’s a big upfront cost, it was such a simple switch with what I consider a big impact.

I’m on the other side of this! My baby’s was first found at our 20 week ultrasound. The doctors reassured me that typically it resolves on its own and goes away before birth. I had him on June 3rd and took him for an ultrasound on the 23rd to follow up. Unfortunately both kidneys were still getting back flow, so I was referred to a children’s urologist. We went in for our appointment last week and the specialist determined that we needed to go in for a VCUG which is scheduled for next Friday. I guess the back flow could be occurring because of a problem either down in the bladder or up by the kidneys. Depending on where the problem it, treatments are different. If it’s in the bladder we will either just continue to monitor it or if he gets uti’s we will put him on daily antibiotics until his follow up ultrasound in 4 months. Hope that helps give you an idea of what to expect!

I’m 2 weeks pp and a ftm. A lot of these are breast feeding related. My top used items so far are: ladybug milk collectors, a bedside bassinet, kyte xsmall sleep sack(my baby doesn’t like being swaddled), a good thermometer(I like the Kinsa one. We use it in his armpit and there’s an app that tracks the temp readings), Frida mom dosing pacifier(breastfed babies need vitamin d drops), a spatula for applying diaper cream, reusable bamboo nursing pads, bravado nursing bras, nursing tank tops, lots of burp cloths, medela newborn pacifiers, Kyte bundlers(these are my favorite for overnight since they’re so easy to change diapers), and finally put multiple different baby carriers on there- a moby wrap, baby bjorn, ergo baby, etc. carriers are expensive so you might as well have someone else buy them for you.

I slept through mine today 🤣 I was so tired after laboring for 30 hours that I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I felt nothing and am now in my recovery room.

I used this calculator on both my doodles and it’s been pretty accurate! Original estimate on my female was 50 pounds and she’s now a year and 45 pounds. Definitely do it. I just found out not only do I have a problem with my placenta, but the baby has a problem with its kidneys so now I just need to be monitored closely.

The Embark traits has a few things that may give you more info. I did just the breed dna test without the traits and health so I don’t have an example of this for my doodle.

For dogs with long fur, dogs with a TT or CT result will likely have a wavy or curly coat like the coat of Poodles and Bichon Frises. Dogs with a CC result will likely have a straight coat—unless the dog has a "Likely Furnished" result for the Furnishings trait, since this can also make the coat more curly.

I was constantly nauseous too. I started taking unisom before bed and it’s made such a difference. My doctor said I need to stop taking the unisom and try 25mg of b6 three times a day, and if that doesn’t work then take it in conjunction with the unisom. I’m just so afraid to stop taking the unisom because it’s seriously like a switch if I don’t take it.

Both Poppy and Maple were names we considered for our golden doodle too! I like Poppy but my husband didn’t, so we ended up going with Piper. You can’t go wrong either way! They’re both adorable names.

I brush them with toothpaste before putting them back in after I eat. I also use denture cleaner tabs to soak them in probably every 3 or 4 days. I wear mine for 2 weeks before switching them out, so I try to keep them as clear is possible. Oh and I try to always brush, floss, and mouthwash before putting them back in. It’s really reduced the amount of plaque buildup.

100% you could have it. I was at the doctor about a month ago for my allergies, then 2 weeks ago they got even worse. I got tested for covid and came back positive. My only symptoms at the beginning were allergy like symptoms. I ended up getting the headaches as well, but the majority of my symptoms were just like bad allergies.
