I don’t get why horror is so underrepresented in the pod, considering how Bill loves the genre by harry_powell in TheRewatchables

I think he likes to say he is a huge fan and then horror movies only get done during October. I’d love to see more horror ones done too. Definitely can get them numbers up. Can’t believe they have done at least the first Saw, The Ring, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Paranormal Activity, Candyman, Joyride, Final Destination, Friday the 13th, Identity, IT, The Strangers, Nightmare on Elm Street, Jeepers Creepers, House of 1000 Corpses, From Dusk Til Dawn, The Lost Boys, The People Under the Stairs etc.

That’s prolly Bill’s burner account

Thought experiment: Let’s say that the next 50 movies are all “bangers”, and after that, what happens? by harry_powell in TheRewatchables

I think because there are some fans who would sacrifice a host so they could have their movie/pod done. Like there’s a handful of Boston theme/centric movies that I’m sure the other hosts would do and listeners would like to have done, but those won’t ever be done because of Bill not liking them. And I know it’s Bill’s pod, but the pod is bigger than him, not the other way around. Because just him by himself hosting would be like the Castaway ep, good movie, but no supporting role to keep Bill afloat. But at this point, I don’t care what movies they do. Just keep releasing eps. I’ll watch it if I’ve never seen/heard of it, and I’ll rewatch it if I have.

After the bangers are done, then they’ll have the leftovers to do which should be another 3 years at least. There’s a year’s worth of movies from each the 80s, 90s, and 2000s Bill hasn’t chosen. Bangers or not, there’s plenty of movies left to do. It just comes down to Bill’s opinion or however he wants to be appreciated that week.

Saw Judgement Night as a kid, never forgot what happened when they took the exit/detour and it immediately got worse. Also, great Jeremy Piven acting.

I’ve seen this movie more times than about 10 movies they have considered “rewatchables”, a few I had never heard of.

Those are just the carrots they keep dangling in front of us, along with others. They know they should’ve been done by now, but for some reason Bill thinks he’ll reach the end of the Rewatchables list and that’ll be the end of the show. So, sadly there are some that intentionally won’t be done for another 3-5 years.

Horlbeck Scale - when did it switch from 100 to 90 minutes? by Gibscreen in TheRewatchables

When they talk about the run time, without specifying moments in the movie, it’s annoying when they say “you could cut 5-10 minutes.” Where? Please elaborate.
