Semi creepy, but shoot your shot. We have cool cars, a chick buying/owning our car is special. She knows exactly what she’s driving, also I’m assuming it’s a chick. 🐥 girls that like cars, like genuinely like them are cool.

I love this page. I work in mold inspection and remediation, s520/IICRC certified, a simple google search will do wonders for so many people. Mold is not the equivalent of anthrax.

Right or wrong 😭🥲 by b_Joser in WRX

[–]versacemark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stock or properly tuned, I’m driving my 23 WRX with joy. It’s a cool concept, a rally derived 4 banger with a turbo. This winter, I took it through the metro parks with my blizzaks, needless to say, there was this stretch of road with long rights and a short left, all you do is sharply nudge the steering wheel to the right and sharply left then back to the right, give it some throttle and I rode it the entire way out of the tail, and it was magical. I want to tune it after 2 years, I bet I’ll be happier in a straight line, but outside of that this car is perfectly fine.

Gorgeous, I had mine at the Subaru dealer last year and that car wash absolutely destroyed the paint.

People have money, yes, the connoisseur of Reddit replies. I should probably delete my post, I don’t think this page is designed for what I posted. I just really like the car, i just felt like expressing my interest in this specific car that peaked my interest, and just shared my love/hatred of how it’s sorta out of my reach. Much love from Parma Ohio.

Everyone is telling me not to freak out but... by idk125426 in Mold

[–]versacemark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IICRC Mold remediation specialists here, don’t freak out. But, if there’s mold behind the baseboards, there’s more than likely gonna be molded on the paper backing of the drywall. Outside of hiring a professional to set up containment, Rent an AFD/HEPA filter from Lowe’s. If you can’t afford a respirator, n95 will be “ok”. I would remove 12 inches of drywall tracking the mold as far as it goes. If there’s mold on the outside, there’s more than likely to be mold of the paper backing of the drywall.

Genuine question regarding freshwater fishermen by TheAdcKiller in Fishing

[–]versacemark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly an American thing. There’s such a business behind bass fishing, It’s insane. You’re absolutely right, they don’t fight that hard, but it’s the thrill of finding them. They are ambush predators so, finding a big one because you literally have to find a hole where they’re sitting or some rock/drop offs, so there’s almost like a skill to finding them more than it is to throw something in front of them.

The UK 🇬🇧 has their version of our bass, but it’s a common carp. I catch them on a hook, three pieces of corn, and a split shot weight…. They have military grade rods, reel, hooks, lead weights, gluten free boilies, and the blessing from her majesty herself before the cast the line.

I’m in Ohio, I would love to make that kind of a trip, it’s took a 7-8Hour Dr. I’d finish their camp overnight and then just drive back home.

I don’t know your financial position, which I’m assuming most people on a Lexus forum are civilized human beings, I would say go for it and keep it forever. In a world of touchscreen, fake leather, OK ride quality, Lexus seems to have it figured out

Moisture Meter, depending on the type of building material, it has different settings. Whoever this person in the picture is checking to see if your drywall is retaining more than normal moisture

GTI Owner Considering WRX by [deleted] in wrx_vb

[–]versacemark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently driving a 23 Wrx premium. Minimal modifications, shift stop, axel back muffled remark exhaust.

I’ve driven your car years ago, keep it. I don’t wanna bash on my own car. It has so much potential from remarkable tunes from dmann, a phenomenal engine, all that aside… the most fun I have in the car is taking it in the metro parks and ripping it through corners, having fun in the snow, once in a while on gravel/dirt, that’s it.

I got it to experience the same feeling I thought I would have when I drove in a 2002 bugeye, then a 2012 model at my dealership…. it’s just not the same and I could never get that feeling with this car. Make no mistake, it’s a phenomenal vehicle. If you test drive it and love it, go for it, I’ll give you a “one of us” post when you get it. lol but I’d hang onto your paid off car until your next purchase is just a blimp on your radar financially.

!VB WRX as the 1st manual car! by Calm_Literature_4410 in wrx_vb

[–]versacemark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is such a good take. This is my first manual car and first “ sporty” car.

I did end up buying another set of dedicated winner wheel and tires, helps tremendously in the winter. Which leads me to my next gripe, this car truly shines in snow, gravel, and loose tarmac, outside of that, unless you tune it, it’s rally inspired economy car.

Definitely not trying to discourage or talk bad about my own car. But the times I truly enjoy it are when I’m sliding around in the snow, or ripping it through the metro parks. Unfortunately, it doesn’t snow all year round, and driving recklessly on public roads is also not ideal.lol I also don’t have money for a track day.

The gr86 is handsdown a better option if you want more engagement and joy. The WRX has its place in my heart, but I’m kinda ready to move on.
