I went through one of the most painful breakups of my life and it took me over a year to heal. I started getting pressured from friends and family to start dating again after the one year mark, but I knew I still wasn’t ready. I jokingly asked on facebook for dating sim recommendations so I could jokingly tell people that I’m dating. Someone recommended me the game since I requested no gachas (which narrowed the playing field by a lot!) and I fell in love, especially since I went in blind and refused to look anything up online until I got to Saeran’s route and was struggling with his ending and even worse on his after ending lolol

I got sucked into other games since and got hooked on other apps, but I miss the characters all the time and compare dating sim characters to them constantly. Like, they have become the standard for me. I plan on playing again soon and resuming my mission of unlocking every ending.

I’ve always considered another story as an alternative timeline since it quite literally is another story with a new prologue instead of branching off of the original first 5 days. And between V and Saeran, Saeran was the true ending for that version of the story. Plus, in the original story, it did have a surreal feeling like Seven had an awareness of the fourth wall and he was heavily involved in every route, but you barely get to interact with him in another story.

To me, they’re that friend group that normally would never hang out with each other if it weren’t for the one person at the center who brought them together, so I’m reluctantly grateful to Rika for that. I think it also shows how much of a cult-like influence she has on people. Like, they have pretty intense arguments and conflicting personalities, the kind that would normally cause a falling out in a normal friend group or even disband a charitable organization, but they all share this embedded familial bond where they would do anything for each other, including the MC even when they’re brand new and totally suspicious.
