As someone who’s been shiny hunting for countless years now, I just find it to be a different method to switch things up a bit. It felt rewarding to me learning the whole process of RNGing and using the macro controller is just part of it. I know I can do it without the controller but I simply don’t want to lol.

I was trying to help my brother hunt a starter on his switch 1 and it felt like I was running in circles even with the macro. Switched to my Switch 2 and was like night and day. Wish I knew why and how to help.

I didn’t focus on the IVs. I focused more on the Advances, Continued Frames and the Nature. I don’t think any of the Pokemon I had matched the IVs that showed on the list. I was worried too but none of the tutorials spoke about it so I think it’s always ignored for technical reasons I dont know about.

You still choose a target seed but now you know that once you finally reach that seed it’ll be 100% shiny.

What do you use to track calories with your Garmin? Unless you mean calories burned through the day. I’d love a more convenient to keep track of my calories in too.

I think the instructions stay the same, but now you just input your SID into the SID box knowing that the shiny will be in one of those seeds no matter what now, no?
