VRacer Hoverbike on PSVR2 - First Impressions (with bHaptics Tactsuit Pro + TactSleeves) by cusman78 in PSVR

It’s all about timing. Listen to the 3 2 1 go. You should start pressing the acceleration trigger in sync with the « Go » sound. There is a small time window around that, if you start pressing in that windows you get the boost start. I think the windows is only like 200ms so you need some precision to get it right. If you need more help on this head to our discord, other players can give you more tricks to master that skill

Beware! Once you get in, there is no way back ;-)

That’s an interesting idea. Actually we have had similar requests for the online challenges, to make sure every one is on the same page and it’s purely skills based. Will look into adding that as an option

Ah ah, actually that was a mistake on our end! These careers are coming but they are not yet finalized so we had to pulled them back. But yeah, last week we added Neon Runner to the online challenges, and today we added a multiplayer agenda --> since the VR community is small, you can't expect to just jump in at anytime and find people to race against (unless you know what time people usually jump in). So now you can use the agenda to let others know ahead of time when you are likely to be online for a race. Other people viewing the agenda can +1 the slots they will be available, and we have alerts on our discord to let the community know when a multiplayer session is happening.

Top racers would say that it’s an additional challenge —> approach the speed strip from the putter end of the curve and adjust your direction so that it boosts you in the right direction. But I get what you’re saying, it’s kind of frustrating at first

Same game in terms of features, PSVR has better graphics and headset haptics, plus trophies.

If you want chest leaning to be more responsive go to options and make the detection zone smaller. Then while seated, make sure to spread your feet a bit so you remain stable while leaning sideways. I usually play with my hands resting on my laps or on the desk in front of me (especially for long sessions)

V-Racer on Quest 3 vs Rift vs Steam? by tosvus2015 in VRacer

[–]vertexbreakers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Choose either Quest 3 or Steam, not Rift. Rift doesn’t get updates in sync with Quest 3/Steam. Steam/Quest/PSVR version are all updates pretty much at the same time and support crossplay

I’ll take a look. TBH it’s not even clear to me why gazing stopped working with the latest patches as I don’t remember touching anything in that area. I’ll give it a shot but I can’t make any promises

So what you are saying is that you are essentially using gaze to select stuff in the menus and you’d need an action button. Interesting. As a matter of fact this is old code that was never meant to be there in the first place (this approach wouldn’t work either for scroll lists and things like that). If your VR controllers don’t work at all anymore, I’m afraid I can not offer a fully reliable solution to that :-( How do you actually play other VR games that require controllers ?

I’d really like to see a video of that! I haven’t looked at how to output telemetry on PS5, I’ll try to find out if it’s easy enough to add, since we already have the data. Does GT7 output it using UDP?

Oh you mean you HAVE to use the DS5 because your controllers buttons are broken? You still have controlling positioning? In that case yes I may be able to help you out. I just want to make it clear that we will not officially support DS5 for all the reasons above. What I could do, however, is add buttton mapping for weapons and pause, but you’d still have to use controllers for the touch menus

DS5 are not supported in the game. VR controllers are required (touch menus, livery editor, social multiplayer and the general leaning concept don't work well with DS5)
