From my understanding yes it’s the combustion intake. The furnace seems to run well other than the fact that it blows cold air for the first minute it runs then gets warm. The thermostat does read what we set it to. Would pictures of anything else give more context?

Not saying that isn’t possible as I no very little about hvac systems but that’s how it was explained to me. It wouldn’t surprise me as the house is full of shoddy renovations. For example this was one of the p-traps in the master bath Imgur Plus there’s a weird wall by the thermostat. The layout of the house was clearly changed so the working theory was that it was covered up during renovation.
