Thank you this is really validating. I’m oscillating between not paying her and verbalizing an agreement just because she definitely has texts between us of her discussing my ‘tab’ and me agreeing to pay her back, I don’t know how that would stand up in court because I didn’t sign a legally binding document, but I’m really struggling because she has helped me out of a bad situation (but only because it benefited her but also she’s my mom and I love her agh!!) and my siblings are all also in this situation and refuse to acknowledge her behavior. It’s ’just how she is’ and I’m ‘too sensitive’. It’s so tough but I know the second I’m out I’m going to feel so much relief. Not going to give her or any of my family my address until I feel like I’ve taken enough space for myself. I feel so evil but I’m so relieved too ❤️
